These articles should strive to be transformative and broad-reaching in their scope. Core articles with a typical length of 6,000 words and a maximum of 10,000 words.Reviews - provides an extensive literature-based perspective on a topic in marine chemistry/biogeochem... These article typically do not contain original data, if they are used to develop a broader scope of synthesis. Comprehensive surveys between 8,000 and 20,000 words, addressing topics that cross traditional boundaries.Short Communications - shorter versions of Research Articles that provide new data on new techniques but also can present exciting new results that the authors believe stands alone at an early stage in development. Concise research papers typically range from 3,000 to 5,000 words, including up to three figures or tables.Perspective - provides a unique viewpoint on an important research area in Marine Chemistry/Biogeochem... These articles can be on past, current, and/or future trends, but differ from a Review Article in that they include an objective personal view on how this research has changed or perhaps should change. The articles in TrAC are concise, critical overviews of new developments in analytical chemistry, which are aimed at helping analytical chemists and other users of analytical techniques. Founded as Revue Générale de Thermique in 1962The International Journal of Thermal Sciences is devoted to the publication of original research papers concerned with fundamental studies on the physics of processes involving heat transfer and their coupling with mass transfer and/or fluid flow. The journal especially welcomes papers aiming at a better understanding of the coupling of local mechanisms and their interactions in larger scale systems.Papers submitted for publication may contain either experimental results, numerical simulations or discussions of models, and must present a significant scientific contribution.The fundamental subjects considered within the scope of the journal are:• Heat and relevant mass transfer at all scales (nano, micro and macro) and in all types of materials (heterogeneous, composites, biological,...) and fluid flow • Forced, natural or mixed convection in reactive or non-reactive media • Single or multi-phase fluid flow with or without phase change • Near-and far-field radiative heat transfer • Combined modes of heat transfer in complex systems (for example, plasmas, biological or geological systems,?) • Multiscale modelling.Manuscript... dedicated to stability analysis studies, or with developed codes, can be considered if their focus is on the physics of heat and mass transfer processes. Experimental validation for the actual problem or a related case is strongly encouraged. They are, however, outside the scope of our journal, if such papers are centered on mathematical developments.In all cases, the paper must present a physical discussion of the mathematical model and a clear justification of the underlying assumptions.Papers dedicated to applications in different fields of engineering or natural sciences may be considered provided that they analyze the coupling of heat transfer modes with other mechanisms and their influence on the system's behavior.The International Journal of Thermal Sciences will not accept papers with the following characteristics:• Studies which belong to already established specialized journals, such as computational techniques, combustion, thermodynamic cycles,? • Papers with purely descriptive or empirical content, • Mere applications of classical equations to complex fluids (e.g. colloidal suspensions) or to the complex combination of basic mechanisms (divided media, external forces,?) • Numerical simulations without a thorough validation of the code and convergence study, • Numerical results using commercial CFD codes, unless new insights into the physics of the process are presented. Marine Geology
Marine Geology is the journal on marine geological processes in the broadest sense. It seeks papers that are comprehensive, interdisciplinary and synthetic that will be lasting contributions to the field. Papers must demonstrate new findings and their context and significance discussed in terms of the international literature.Marine Geology accepts papers on subjects as diverse as seafloor hydrothermal systems, beach dynamics, early diagenesis, microbiological studies in sediments, palaeoclimate studies and geophysical studies of the seabed. Papers that address emerging new fields, for example the influence of anthropogenic processes on coastal and marine geology are particularly welcomed.The papers should be concerned with the coastal and marine realm in the broad sense and should deal with rocks, sediments, landforms (sedimentology, geomorphology, geoarchaeology, geochemistry), the physical and chemical and biological processes affecting them, and the characteristics and evolution of the processes/mechanisms as revealed by sedimentary archives.Papers should address scientific hypotheses: data compilations, including 'big data' and datasets of global significance, and papers that deal with marine management and risk assessment, sustainability issues, and hydrocarbon reservoir characterisation may be submitted to the journal on the condition that they demonstrate a close and clear relationship between these issues and coastal/marine geological processes and deposits. Papers on laboratory or modelling studies must demonstrate direct relevance to marine processes or deposits. Papers dealing with coastal deposits now on land may be accepted on condition that these deposits show continuity with, and their interpretation is relevant to, coastal and marine processes. The journal Annals of Pure and Applied Logic publishes high quality papers in all areas of mathematical logic as well as applications of logic in mathematics, in theoretical computer science and in other related disciplines.
