Theoretical calculations can be included, but full-length research papers considered must have an experimental component.Novel Materials for Energy and Chemical Applications The Novel Materials for Energy and Chemical Applications section considers papers describing the development of new materials for carbon capture and conversion, production of renewable and clean energy (CH4, NH3, H2, methanol, biofuels, solar fuels, and other synthetic fuels), and green chemicals. Theoretical calculations can be included, but full-length research papers considered must have an experimental component.Environmen... Chemical Engineering - Physico-Chemical-Bio... Processes The Environmental Chemical Engineering - Physico-Chemical-Bio... Processes section considers papers dealing with emerging topics in physico-chemical-bio... processes for environmental and chemical purposes, including Sedimentation, Filtration, Stripping, Absorption, Adsorption, Biosorption, Bioaccumulation, Ion Exchange, Coagulation-Floccula... Precipitation, Flotation, Disinfection, Membrane Processes, Magnetic Separation, Particle Separation, Phase Separation, Multiphase Extraction, Thermal/Evaporative Processes, Electro-Dialysis, Hydrocyclones, Electrolysis, Green/Grey Biological Processes, Engineered Bioreactors, Biofiltration, Wetlands, Omics Based Approaches, Enzymatic Processes, etc. Theoretical/modellin... can be included, but full-length research papers considered must have an experimental component.Environmen... Chemical Engineering - Redox Processes The Environmental Chemical Engineering - Redox Processes section presents papers dealing with redox processes for environmental and chemical purposes, including Ozonation, Chlorination, Ferrate, Zerovalent Iron, Non-Photochemical Advanced Oxidation Processes in Homogeneous Phase (Ozonation in Alkaline Media, Ozonation with Other Oxidants, Fenton, Electro-Oxidation, Electro-Fenton, Microwaves, Sonolysis, Plasma Oxidation, Wet Air Oxidation, etc.), Photochemical Advanced Oxidation Processes in Homogeneous Phase (Photolysis, Photolysis of Water in Vacuum Ultraviolet-VUV, UV/H2O2, UV/Persulfate, UV/O3, UV/O3/H2O2, Photo-Fenton, Electro-Photo-Fenton... etc.), Non-Photochemical Advanced Oxidation Processes in Heterogeneous Phase (Catalytic Oxidation, Catalytic Ozonation, Catalytic Wet Oxidation, Electrocatalysis, etc.), Photochemical Advanced Oxidation Processes in Heterogeneous Phase (Photocatalytic Ozonation, Photocatalysis, Photoelectrocatalysi... etc.), and others. Theoretical/modellin... can be included, but full-length research papers considered must have an experimental component.Environmen... Surveillance The Environmental Surveillance section presents papers focusing on the collection and analysis of samples of soil, water, wastewater, air, foodstuffs, biota, and other media with a view to assessing exposure, environmental impact and health risks. Seeing environmental surveillance in light of the integrated concept of One Health can provide valuable tool sets in combatting preventable emerging diseases, as well as minimize the risk of human and viral outbreaks, such as SARS-COV-2. Wastewater surveillance can serve as a sentinel for human infectious diseases and human consumption habits and advances in this field are important for turning wastewater to an important source of information for policy makers and relevant authorities. Theoretical/modellin... can be included, but full-length research papers considered must have an experimental component.Green and Sustainable Science and Engineering The Green and Sustainable Science and Engineering section presents papers focusing on innovative scientific and engineering solutions towards a carbon-neutral circular and self-sufficient economy. Topics in this section include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Green processes and system integration for resources recovery (including water, nutrients, energy and materials), waste streams valorization, climate-water-energy... nexus, and minimization of environmental pollution and hazardous materials (including environmental and economic impact assessment); 2) Green processes and system integration for renewable and clean energy production (including biogas, biofuels, solar fuels, green hydrogen, green ammonia); 3) Innovative technologies for greenhouse gas mitigation technologies including carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). Theoretical/modellin... can be included, but full-length research papers considered must have an experimental component. Please review the most recent scope and submission guidelines here- ISSN: 1570-6443
Journal of Hydro-environment Research
Sponsored by the Korea Water Resources AssociationThe journal aims to provide an international platform for the dissemination of research and engineering applications related to water and hydraulic problems in the Asia-Pacific region. The journal provides a wide distribution at affordable subscription rate, as well as a rapid reviewing and publication time. The journal particularly encourages papers from young researchers.Papers that require extensive language editing, qualify for editorial assistance with American Journal Experts, a Language Editing Company that Elsevier recommends. Authors submitting to this journal are entitled to a 10% discount. The journal welcomes papers in all topics of hydraulics, in particular articles on sustainable water management, water-health issues, environmental hydraulics, eco-hydraulics, coastal engineering and integration of hydraulics with hydrology. Inter-disciplinary problems and linkage of theory to field application are particularly encouraged. Solutions of water problems in the form of prediction models, flow simulations, engineering systems, monitoring, management strategies covering basic scientific investigations and/or experimental studies of flow behaviour, hydrodynamics, fate and transport of aquatic constituents, and related biological and chemical processes are all within the scope of the Journal. The unique features of the Asia-Pacific region in terms of population density, economic growth, landscape, tradition and history require special treatment of water problems in the region. Each research article in the journal will contain a section describing actual or potential applications to the Asia-Pacific region. This will provide an effective forum for technical exchanges, joint projects, and technology transfer. In addition to research articles, the journal also publishes review papers, invited papers, book reviews and technical communications. Special issues containing selected papers presented at the biennial IAHR-APD Congresses, in particular the IAHR-APD award papers, will be a regular feature of the journal.Research articles: should be original contributions reporting a complete research work leading to the understanding and/or application of hydraulic knowledge based on theoretical, experimental, computational and/or other approaches. Papers combining theory and experiments or combining basic and applied research are strongly welcome.Review papers: cover all important issues in hydraulics and water problems, and their application.Technica... communications: report large-scale or innovative hydraulic or water-related projects/issues in the Asia-Pacific region. Communications discussing scientific and technical views on particular issues and problems are also encouraged.Invited papers: provide a forum for experienced researchers to share their experience and expertise to the Asia-Pacific forum.- ISSN: 2210-6707
