Cretaceous Research provides a forum for the rapid publication of research on all aspects of the Cretaceous Period, including its boundaries with the Jurassic and Palaeogene with emphasis on multidisciplinary research. Authoritative papers reporting detailed investigations of Cretaceous integrated stratigraphy and palaeontology, palaeobiogeography, palaeoceanography, palaeoclimatology, evolutionary palaeoecology, paleobiology, geochronology, global events (e.g., K/Pg boundary, Oceanic Anoxic Events), regional geology, and reviews of recently published books are complemented by short communications of significant new findings.Papers submitted to Cretaceous Research should place the research in a broad context and should be focused to better understand the Cretaceous geology and climate, that are therefore of interest to the diverse, international readership of the journal. Full length papers that focus solely on single disciplines or local theme or restricted geographic area will not be accepted for publication; authors of short communications are encouraged to discuss how their findings are of relevance to the Cretaceous on a broad scale.This journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals, in particular SDG 13 (Climate Action)

Global and Planetary Change publishes high-quality studies addressing all aspects of Earth System Science. The objective of the journal is to develop a multi-disciplinary understanding of planetary change and to improve knowledge of processes relevant at a global-scale. As such, the journal focuses equally on the geological and historical past as well as present-day and future scenarios based on observational records, experimental studies, and/or modelling. Regional or process-oriented studies are welcome provided that they are useful for understanding aspects of the Earth System.Suitable topics include, but are not limited to, studies of the dynamic Deep Earth and lithosphere to (near-)surface processes; changes in the dynamics and composition of the atmosphere, hydrosphere and cryosphere; climate change, the carbon cycle, and sea level fluctuations; global ecology, biogeography, and extinction; planetary boundaries and ecosystem resilience/thresholds; and global change impacts on food security, water resources, and urban sustainability.Key criteria for the consideration of manuscripts include (a) their relevance for the global scientific community and/or (b) their wider implications for global-scale problems, preferably combined with (c) having a significance beyond a single discipline. An International Journal for the Geo-SciencesPalaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology publishes high quality studies in the field of palaeoenvironmental geoscience. We seek submissions that address broad scientific questions of interest to a wide international community and focus on significant events in the evolution of life and environment. The reach of the journal covers the entire deep-time history of the biosphere from the Archaean through to the Quaternary. A key criterion for consideration is that submissions address some key aspect of palaeoenvironmental change as their major theme including, but not limited to, studies of palaeoecology, palaeoclimatology, and palaeobiogeography. We also look favourably on submissions that use a multi-disciplinary approach and/or bring together large quantitative datasets. As the journal aims to cut across the boundaries of established sciences, every effort should be made to present research findings in a way that is understandable for a general readership. Manuscripts may be submitted as either research contributions or as a review article, and we also encourage the development of special issues on significant topics. Please note that studies of plate tectonics, sediment provenance and coal petrography are generally considered out of scope for the journal, and we can only normally consider submissions that are based on geological datasets or materials.
The Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology is an international journal for articles in all fields of palaeobotany and marine and terrestrial palynology dealing with all groups, ranging from marine and terrestrial palynomorphs to macro remains of higher land plants. Original contributions and comprehensive review papers should appeal to an international audience. Typical topics include but are not restricted to systematics, evolution, palaeobiology, palaeoecology, biostratigraphy, biochronology, palaeoclimatology, paleogeography, taphonomy, palaeoenvironmental reconstructions, vegetation history, and practical applications of palaeobotany and palynology, e.g. in coal and petroleum geology and archaeology. The journal especially encourages the publication of articles in which palaeobotany and palynology are applied for solving fundamental geological and biological problems as well as innovative and interdisciplinary approaches.
