Blood
Blood, the flagship journal of the American Society of Hematology, published online and in print, provides an international forum for the publication of original articles describing basic laboratory, translational, and clinical investigations in hematology. Acceptance of manuscripts is based on the originality and importance of the observations or investigations, the quality of the work and validity of the evidence, the clarity of presentation, and the relevance to our readership and field. All articles are expected to be concise, well-organized and clearly written. Authors submit a manuscript with the understanding that the manuscript (or its essential substance) has not been published other than as an abstract in any language or format and is not currently submitted elsewhere for print or electronic publication.Primary research articles will be published under the following scientific categories: Clinical Trials and Observations; Gene Therapy; Hematopoiesis and Stem Cells; Immunobiology and Immunotherapy; Myeloid Neoplasia; Lymphoid Neoplasia; Phagocytes, Granulocytes and Myelopoiesis; Platelets and Thrombopoiesis; Red Cells, Iron and Erythropoiesis; Thrombosis and Hemostasis; Transfusion Medicine; Transplantation; and Vascular Biology. Papers can be listed under more than one category as appropriate. Authors are invited to submit a presubmission inquiry if they are uncertain whether their work falls within the general scope of the journal.Blood has formulated more precise scopes for immunobiology and immunotherapy, vascular biology, HIV/HTLV, and clinical trial submissions. Reports should include a full description of the study design, patient population, methodology and conduct, and statistical plan.Immunobiology and Immunotherapy encompass a wide spectrum of research, but Blood can accommodate only papers that have clear and important implications for hematology. Preference is given to papers focusing on human immunobiology, immunotherapy, and immune pharmacology approaches in the human setting and those with significant implications for understanding of normal or malignant hematologic processes. Papers on tumor immunology, tumor vaccines and cancer immunotherapy development may be appropriate if the target cells or antigens are relevant to hematologic malignancies, but generally Blood cannot accommodate tumor immunology papers focusing solely on non-hematologic tumor types.Papers investigating autoimmunity and utilizing non-hematologic models are not within the scope of Blood.Vascular biology papers that focus primarily on atherosclerosis are outside the scope of Blood and instead should be considered for alternative journals.Papers felt to be outside the scope of Blood will be returned to the author without full peer review.- ISSN: 0006-4971

The Journal's primary objective is to publish papers on disease-oriented morphology and pathogenesis from clinicians and scientists in the cardiovascular field. Subjects covered include cardiovascular biology, prosthetic devices, molecular biology and experimental models of cardiovascular disease.The Journal publishes articles on all aspects of cardiovascular disease, but with a particular focus on the pathology and pathogenesis of these entities. Authors are invited to submit original research articles. Brief communications, case reports with significant new findings, as well as letters to the Editors will be considered. Clinical Colorectal Cancer
Clinical Colorectal Cancer is devoted to manuscripts that focus on early detection/screening, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of colorectal cancer and other GI cancers, including pancreatic, liver, gastric/gastroesopha... biliary, and other gastrointestinal cancers. The major emphasis is on recent scientific developments and original peer-reviewed manuscripts. Specific areas of interest include original reports on clinical research and/or translational research and translational correlative science that is directly related to clinical trials, in all (multidisciplinary) therapeutic fields that relate to colorectal cancer and other GI cancers.Further areas of interest include original research on drug sensitivity and resistance to cytotoxic agents, targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and other novel therapeutic approaches; pathology, (validated) predictive markers, and prognostic indicators; chemoprevention strategies; and integration of various therapeutic and multidisciplinary approaches. A much lower priority will be given to meta-analyses, pooled analyses, and real-world analyses unless the knowledge gained from such reports is significant and can be applied to clinical practice. In addition, unsolicited reviews are not encouraged unless there has been a discussion with the editor or deputy editors as the journal wants to ensure that reviews will provide real added value and true gain of knowledge.- ISSN: 1533-0028

The primary aim of the journal is to inform the veterinary and biomedical research community of significant scientific advances and teaching methods in the field of veterinary education, and to provide a multidisciplinary forum for the discussion and debate of novel biomedical research and teaching within a "One-Health" context. The journal achieves these goals through the prompt promotion and dissemination of high-quality scientific knowledge to a broad range of professionals globally.The journal encourages the submission of high-quality novel research that has clear implications for the prevention, treatment, or control of zoonotic and animal diseases, including improved understanding of disease pathogenesis and epidemiology, and that therefore contribute to a substantial improvement of animal and human health. Papers studying the origin, pathogenesis, and spread of diseases, as well as new or improved methods of diagnosis and treatment, or describing novel aspects of immunology, physiology and welfare in animals of veterinary concern are explicitly welcome.Studies that lack novelty or scientific rigor, including studies without a robust scientific hypothesis or that are preliminary or of low scientific impact, are not appropriate for the journal. Furthermore, poorly designed and controlled studies, studies that lack appropriate replication or that for other reasons lack generalizability including studies that are not generalizable beyond a local or limited geographic area, and case studies or field reports lacking an advancement in general knowledge do not fall within the scope of the journal.
