Affiliated with the International Society of Clinical SpectroscopyClinical Spectroscopy is an open access peer-review journal focused on the translation of spectroscopy into the clinical environment to improve patient diagnosis and prognosis. The development of optical spectroscopic techniques and their cutting-edge applications to clinical and biomedical research are of interest to this Journal. Other topics of interest are Molecular Imaging and Computational methods to interpret optical and spectroscopic measurements.Emphasis will be on clinical based studies applying primarily optical spectroscopy, including vibrational and UV/Visible spectroscopy, although, other multimodal approaches incorporating mass spectrometry, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics coupled to optical based spectroscopic techniques are highly welcomed. Unless coupled to optical spectroscopy, manuscripts utilizing fluorescence spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), X-ray and gamma ray analysis will not be considered for publication.Clinical Spectroscopy offers authors rigorous peer review, rapid decisions, and high visibility. The editors welcome original research articles, short communications and reviews on topics including but not limited to spectroscopy applications in:• Diagnosis and sensing:- Biomedical Imaging, - Biosensing, - Point of care diagnostic, - Disease Detection.• Surgical guidance and in-vivo applications• Therapeutics monitoring and Drug Release• New Devices and Emerging Instrumentations and their miniaturization for clinical applications• Clinical Translation• Data Analysis- Data pretreatment, - Calibration, - Interpretation.

Heliyon considers research from all areas of the physical, applied, life, social and medical sciences. We publish manuscripts reporting scientifically accurate and valuable research, which adheres to accepted ethical and scientific publishing standards. As such Heliyon publishes new insights as well as extensions on existing theories, negative/null results and replication studies.Submissions covering arts, humanities and law are not considered in Heliyon. Authors of these submissions are encouraged to submit directly to our partner journal Social Sciences & Humanities Open.Heliyon classifies manuscripts/articles into different sections based on the research topic discussed. Some sections exclude certain types of studies from their scope. To know more and to see the kind of manuscripts the various sections publish, please visit: https://www.cell.com/heliyon/sectionsA dedicated in-house editorial office team, internal editors as well as external academic section and associate editors handle your manuscript and manage the publication process, giving your research the editorial support and quality control it deserves. If it's important to you, it's important to us. Official Journal of MSACLThe Journal of Mass Spectrometry and Advances in the Clinical Lab (JMSACL, formerly known as Clinical Mass Spectrometry) is an open access, pay-what-you-can journal and publishes peer-reviewed articles addressing mass spectrometry and other advances in Laboratory Medicine and Pathology with a focus on development of diagnostic and related applications, including data science, to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.Beyond communication of the application of technologies in the routine clinical diagnostic setting, by publishing critically validated analytical protocols, the journal also addresses the translation of experimental techniques and analytical research into patient care, and the use of these technologies in clinical research and routine patient management. The scope of the journal is not restricted to any particular technology, but covers the entire range of technologies and advancements that are expected to impact the clinical lab.The journal encourages submissions having a clear path to patient care, including basic and translational research, and animal studies.Subject areas covered by the journal include, but are not restricted to:AutomationClinical Studies and ImplementationCross-Technology InvestigationsData ScienceEndocrinologyError Sources, Risk Assessment and Patient SafetyGlycomicsHarmonization and StandardizationImagingInstrumentationLipidomicsMetabolomics and Metabolic AnalysesMethod Development and ValidationMetrologyMicrobiologyNeonatal ScreeningNew TechnologiesPoint-of-Care TechnologiesProtein QuantificationProtein Variant DetectionProteomicsQuality ManagementReference Methods and MaterialsRegulatory Aspects in Diagnostic ApplicationsSample PreparationSeparation ScienceSmall MoleculesTherapeutic Drug MonitoringToxicologyTypes of papers: Reviews, graphical reviews, mini-reviews, original research papers, short communications (e.g., letters, case studies, protocols, application notes, developed poster presentations), guidelines and best practice documents, tutorials, invited editorials, opinions.
Practical Laboratory Medicine is a high-quality, peer-reviewed, international open-access journal publishing original research, new methods and critical evaluations, case reports and short papers in the fields of clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine. The objective of the journal is to provide practical information of immediate relevance to workers in clinical laboratories. The primary scope of the journal covers clinical chemistry, hematology, molecular biology and genetics relevant to laboratory medicine, microbiology, immunology, therapeutic drug monitoring and toxicology, laboratory management and informatics. We welcome papers which describe critical evaluations of biomarkers and their role in the diagnosis and treatment of clinically significant disease, validation of commercial and in-house IVD methods, method comparisons, interference reports, the development of new reagents and reference materials, reference range studies and regulatory compliance reports. Manuscripts describing the development of new methods applicable to laboratory medicine (including point-of-care testing) are particularly encouraged, even if preliminary or small scale. While novel or innovative work is preferred, papers of a confirmatory nature will also be considered if they are scientifically and technically valid and relevant to important topics.
URINE promotes basic research, translation and clinical applications in the area of urine, with the aim of improving understanding, screening, diagnosis, treatment monitoring and disease management. The journal not only accelerates the development of research in this field but helps to build connections between the diverse communities involved in urine research. The next generation of biomarker is projected to rely heavily upon urinary biomarkers to stratify risk, diagnose disease, determine optimal treatment strategies, evaluate drug response and monitor disease progression. These objectives are achieved by providing a fast, author-focused publication process. All types of papers are welcome, and each submission benefits from expert peer-review. To protect the novelty of authors, URINE encourages and welcomes the submission of manuscripts that have already been posted on a preprint archive.Submissions on a variety of urine-related topics will be considered. These include, but are not limited to, papers addressing:Urinary biomarker discovery and validation and the development of various systematic diseases.Disease development observations from changes in urine.Screening for early signs of pathophysiological processes in the body.Disease management and treatment based on early diagnosis of the diseases in urine.Technological developments that can potentially be applied to the field of urine, either in basic research or clinical applications, for example, biobanking methods of various urine components.Bioinformatics related to urinary biomarker studies.Urinary extracellular vesiclesUrinary-based liquid biopsiesIn recognition of the breadth of the research communities active in biomarker studies, the URINE Executive Editorial board will consist of four types of researchers at all times:Clinical domain expertsExperts in physiology, biology, biochemistry and related disciplinesStatistical and experimental design expertsEngineering expertsThis will help to ensure that the journal can reliably evaluate a range of studies and maintain a diverse collection of articles.
