Global Heritage is a quarterly peer-reviewed English language journal, publishing research articles, review articles, case reports and perspectives, covering studies on both tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
Tangible heritage relates to physical objects, items, artefacts, buildings or structures within the four main subject areas of built heritage, libraries and archives, collections, and archaeology.
Intangible cultural heritage relates to non-physical aspects such as tradition, folklore, customs, beliefs, language, performance and knowledge.
The journal welcomes submissions on global heritage-related topics from researchers, practitioners, heritage managers and community groups across all geographies. Topics of interest includes but not limited to:
Advances in conservation, preservation and restoration practice;
Scientific investigation of historic sites, objects or artefacts;
Advances in digital heritage applications;
Heritage policy;
Heritage tourism;
Education, training and skills;
Human-heritage interactions;
Authenticity, significance and value;
Societal impacts of heritage;
Asset management;
Technical art history.
Global Heritage publishes original research articles, case studies, reviews, reports, and expert opinions.
