      L'uvéite est une inflammation primitive de la tunique intermédiaire de l'œil. Elle peut toucher les patients à tout âge et représente la troisième cause de cécité dans le monde. Sa prise en charge doit être méthodique car ses étiologies sont extrêmement variées. Elles peuvent être limitées à l'œil ou associées à une maladie de système, d'origine auto-immune, auto-inflammatoire ou infectieuse, bénignes ou potentiellement cécitantes. L'analyse d'une uvéite nécessite une démarche raisonnée précise, souvent multidisciplinaire, basée sur un examen sémiologique complet d'une part et des examens complémentaires parfois sophistiqués d'autre part.
