The Egyptian Journal of Remote Sensing and Space Sciences

The Egyptian Journal of Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (EJRS) covers all aspects of Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), planetary geology and the development of space technologies, theories, applications and modeling. The objective of EJRS is to publish high quality, peer-reviewed papers on the development of remote sensing and GIS technologies and their applications for optimal planning, sustainable development and the protection of the environmental resources. EJRS particularly encourages papers of innovative ideas and broad scientific interest. Areas of interest include, but are not necessarily limited to:

1. Remote sensing and GIS technology
Image and signal processing for:
• Optical, RADAR, LIDAR image processing theories and technical development.
• Image enhancement, image restoration, machine learning, data fusion, etc.
• Image understanding: Pattern recognition, classification techniques, object and change detection, content-based retrieval of images

The Egyptian Journal of Remote Sensing & Space Sciences (EJRS) is a gold open access journal. EJRS continues with the same aims and scope, editorial team, submission system and rigorous peer review.

EJRS authors will pay an article publishing charge (APC), have a choice of license options, and retain copyright to their published work. The APC will be requested after peer review and acceptance. The APC payment will be required for all accepted articles submitted after the 31st of October 2021. EJRS will offer a discounted APC USD 900 (excluding taxes) to all authors for a short period. In addition, EJRS is part of Research4Life open access program, which offers authors from lower- and middle-income countries APC waivers or discounts. For more details please visit this page.

EJRS is also offering a waiving opportunity for 10 quality manuscript (MS) according to predefined criteria. For more details please consult the waiving criteria. Scientists who are interested to apply their MS within this competing offer are requested to submit, with the MS, a brief description of the research specifying the novelty of the idea and/or the application approach in a paragraph of not more than 50 words. It also important to define which "waive category" the author is applying for and specify—from your opinion—the reason for which the MS deserve the waive opportunity.

Please note: Authors who have submitted their paper on or before the 31st of October 2021, will have their accepted article published in EJRS at no charge. Authors submitting their paper after this date will be requested to pay the APC. For more details visit our FAQs page.
