Annals of Nuclear Energy provides an international medium for the communication of original research, ideas and developments in all areas of the field of nuclear energy science and technology. Its scope embraces nuclear fuel reserves, fuel cycles and cost, materials, processing, system and component technology (fission only), design and optimization, direct conversion of nuclear energy sources, environmental control, reactor physics, heat transfer and fluid dynamics, structural analysis, fuel management, future developments, nuclear fuel and safety, nuclear aerosol, neutron physics, computer technology (both software and hardware), risk assessment, radioactive waste disposal and reactor thermal hydraulics. Papers submitted to Annals need to demonstrate a clear link to nuclear power generation/nuclear engineering. Papers which deal with pure nuclear physics, pure health physics, imaging, or attenuation and shielding properties of concretes and various geological materials are not within the scope of the journal. Also, papers that deal with policy or economics are not within the scope of the journal. Please read these guidelines for papers submitted to Annals which deal with computer codes and simulations.This journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals, in particular SDG 7 (Affordable and clean energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action)

The word "Solitons" should be understood as a label especially extended to all nonlinear integrable systems in complex natural phenomena. The paper should not bear on some explicit formulae, some standard solutions, constructions, or asymptotic methods.The journal is interested in articles providing strong insights in the mathematical theory of fractals that are profound for an important particular application, especially in complex systems. Numerical computations should only assist the developed results.The submitted Manuscripts should contain presentations which are a) of interdisciplinary interest, b) easily accessible also to a non-specialized-audi... and c) written in an excellent English style.Notice that if the above criteria are not fulfilled, submissions may be desk-rejected by the Journal's Editors without being sent to reviewers.

Nuclear Data Sheets

The Nuclear Data Sheets are current and are published monthly. They are devoted to compilation and evaluations of experimental and theoretical results in Nuclear Physics. The journal is mostly produced from Evaluated Nuclear Structure Data File (ENSDF), a computer file maintained by the US National Nuclear Data Center http://www.nndc.bnl.... Structure Data: Evaluated nuclear structure data for A>20. (Data for A<21 are also contained in ENSDF but published elsewhere.) The evaluations include the best experimental results for various radioactive decays and nuclear reaction studies. NIM-B accepts original manuscripts on the fundamental interactions between energetic particle beams and matter, along with related technologies and applications.Relevan... manuscripts will address one or more of the following areas:Interactions between matter and beams of charged or neutral particles: Atoms, molecules, atomic clusters, neutrons, photons, electrons, and ions.Experimental, theoretical and modelling work concerning fundamental interaction cross sections and derived information such as stopping powers, defect formation, thermodynamics and kinetics data.Beam-enhanced synthesis and modification of classical and quantum materials as well as surfaces treated with laser-, electron- and high intensity ion beams. Progress in Nuclear Energy is an international review journal covering all aspects of nuclear science and engineering especially applicable to nuclear energy. In keeping with the maturity of nuclear fission power, articles on various technical aspects of nuclear power plants including safety, siting and environmental issues are encouraged, as are those associated with economics, public policy, and fuel management. However, studies of new physics phenomena and engineering design and analysis tools and innovations will remain an important aspect of the journal's scope. Articles published in Progress in Nuclear Energy are either of a review nature or present new material in more depth. They are aimed at researchers and technically oriented managers working in the nuclear energy field.Please note the following: PNE seeks high quality innovative research papers which are medium to long in length. Short research papers should be submitted to the journal Annals of Nuclear Energy.PNE reserves the right to reject papers which are based solely on routine application of computer codes used to produce reactor designs or reproduce known reactor phenomena. Such papers, although worthy, are best left as laboratory reports. Taking the format of four issues per year, the journal aims to discuss new developments in the field at a level suitable for the general nuclear and particle physicist and, in greater technical depth, to explore the most important advances in these areas. Most of the articles will be in one of the fields of nuclear physics, hadron physics, heavy ion physics, particle physics, as well as astrophysics and cosmology. A particular effort is made to treat topics of an interface type for which both particle and nuclear physics are important. Radiation Measurements provides a forum for the presentation of the latest developments in the broad field of ionizing radiation detection and measurement. The journal publishes original papers on both fundamental and applied research.The journal seeks to publish papers that present advances in the following areas: spontaneous and stimulated luminescence (including scintillating materials, thermoluminescence, and optically stimulated luminescence); electron spin resonance of natural and synthetic materials; the physics, design and performance of radiation measurements (including computational modelling such as electronic transport simulations); the novel basic aspects of radiation measurement in medical physics. Studies of energy-transfer phenomena, track physics and microdosimetry are also of interest to the journal.Applications relevant to the journal, particularly where they present novel detection techniques, novel analytical approaches or novel materials, include: personal dosimetry (including dosimetric quantities, active/electronic and passive monitoring techniques for photon, neutron and charged-particle exposures); environmental dosimetry (including methodological advances and predictive models related to radon); cosmic and high-energy radiation measurements (including dosimetry, space radiation effects, and single event upsets); dosimetry-based archaeological and Quaternary dating; dosimetry-based approaches to thermochronometry; accident and retrospective dosimetry (including activation detectors), and dosimetry and measurements related to medical applications. Generally excluded are topics related to dosimetry and environmental radioactivity for risk assessment, particularly using standard and well-established techniques, where the emphasis is on the results of the measurements rather than on the measurement techniques.Review articles are periodically solicited by the Editors.The journal aims to publish papers containing substantial novelty and scientific impact. The Editors reserve the rights to reject, with or without external review, papers that do not meet these criteria.
