Ultrasonics
Ultrasonics is the only internationally established journal which covers the entire spectrum of ultrasound research, technology and applications. Ultrasonics contains a variety of sections to keep its readers abreast of the state of the art in both fundamental investigation and real-world development related to ultrasonics. Ultrasonics publishes papers of exceptional quality and of relevance to both academia and industry. Manuscripts in which ultrasonics is the core and not simply an incidental tool or secondary issue are welcomed. In addition to high-quality, original research papers with scientific merit and novelty, as well as review articles contributed by internationally renowned experts, Ultrasonics also regularly features short communications, a calendar of forthcoming events in the field, and special issues dedicated to specific topical subjects.Ultrasonics broadly covers:Physics of Ultrasound - Acousto-optics; Ultrasonic visualization and imaging; Acousto-electric devices; SAW; Acoustic microscopy; Acoustic emission (ultrasonic domain); Physical aspects of ultrasonic wave propagation; Laser ultrasonics; Physical acoustics (solids, liquids and gases); Ultrasound scattering; Modelling of ultrasound waves; Air-coupled ultrasonics; Phononic crystals; Ultrasound in metamaterials and granular materials; Resonant ultrasound spectroscopy; Terahertz acoustics; Guided waves in surfaces and films; Ultrasound in composites; Ultrasonic flow imaging; Acoustic levitation and particle manipulation; Inverse problems in ultrasonics.Biomedic... Nuclear Medicine and Biology
Official Journal of the Society of Radiopharmaceutical SciencesNuclear Medicine and Biology publishes original research addressing all aspects of radiopharmaceutical science for imaging as well as therapeutic applications. More specifically the synthesis (automated and manual), in vitro and ex vivo studies, in vivo biodistribution by dissection or imaging, radiopharmacology, radiopharmacy of new radiopharmaceuticals... Translational studies of novel targeted radiopharmaceuticals... e.g. first in human use, are warmly welcomed. In addition, in vivo imaging studies using radioactive tracers for physiological and pathophysiological research or drug discovery support are welcome. In all cases, the importance of the target to an unmet clinical need should be the first consideration. These multidisciplinary studies should validate the mechanism of localization whether the tracer is based on binding to a receptor, enzyme, antigen, or another well-defined target. The studies should be aimed at evaluating how the chemical and radiopharmaceutical properties affect pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, or therapeutic efficacy. Ideally, the study would address the sensitivity of the tracer to changes in disease or treatment, although studies validating mechanism alone are acceptable as well. In the case of therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals... the specificity of labeled compound localization and therapeutic effect should be addressed. If the synthesis of a new radiopharmaceutical is submitted without in vitro or in vivo data, then the uniqueness of the chemistry must be emphasized and should provide a substantial improvement over existing methodologies.Articl... related to radiopharmacy, addressing the issues of preparation, automation, quality control, dispensing, and regulations applicable to qualification and administration of radiopharmaceuticals to humans, are also welcome if the article provides a significant impact on the field.- ISSN: 0167-2789
Physica D: Nonlinear Phenomena
Physica D (Nonlinear Phenomena) publishes research and review articles reporting on theoretical and experimental work, techniques, and ideas that advance the understanding of nonlinear phenomena. The scope of the journal encompasses mathematical methods for nonlinear systems including: wave motion, pattern formation and collective phenomena in physical, chemical and biological systems; hydrodynamics and turbulence; integrable and Hamiltonian systems; and data-driven dynamical systems. The journal encourages submissions in established and emerging application domains, for example applications of nonlinear science to artificial intelligence, robotics, control theory, complex networks, and social and economic dynamics.- ISSN: 0370-1573
Physics Reports
A Review Section of Physics LettersThe journal Physics Reports publishes timely reviews which are more extensive than just literature surveys but normally less than a full monograph. Each report deals with one specific subject and is generally published in a separate volume. These reviews are specialist in nature but contain enough introductory material to make the main points intelligible to a non-specialist. The reader will not only be able to distinguish important developments and trends in physics but will also find a sufficient number of references to the original literature.Starting in 2025, Physics Reports will inaugurate a new "Rapid Reviews” section. Rapid Reviews are intended to be shorter reviews, which can be completed more quickly (on order three months) than regular reviews, on exciting new subjects. They are intended to reach a broader audience but go into less technical detail than a regular Physics Reports review. The target length is on order 20 pages (as opposed to regular reviews, which are intended to be more than 50 journal pages) and the reviews are intended to allow more in the way of editorializing than regular articles, which are intended to be more balanced, complete, and pedagogical. We aim to publish one such Rapid Review per month. The topics covered by the journal include but are not limited to:Astrophysics and Cosmology,Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics,Biological Physics,Condensed Matter Physics,High Energy Physics,Nanoscience,... Dynamics and Complex Systems,Nuclear Physics and Hadronic Physics,Plasma Physics,Statistical Physics.Submission of articles to Physics Reports is by invitation only; unsolicited submissions cannot be accepted. Should you feel that you have a topic suitable for publication in one of the sections in this journal, please contact our Editorial Office physrep-eo@elsevier.... , with a proposal of no more than 1000 words. You must specify which Editor should review your proposal (see Editorial Board).
