An interdisciplinary journal of nonlinear science.Chaos, Solitons & Fractals aims to be the leading journal in the interdisciplinary field of Nonlinear Science.It encourages the submission of high-quality articles (under the form of short communications, regular papers, and review papers) containing results which have a significant impact on the following subjects:nonlinear dynamics and non-equilibrium processes in physics and applied mathematics;complex matter and networks;biophysics, systems biology and computational biology;fluctuations and random processes;artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data analytics;self-organization and emergent phenomena;applications to social science, engineering and econophysics.The journal can only accept papers whose primary subject area lies within the above Aims & Scope.In particular, please take notice of the following, additional, criteria:In order to be acceptable, manuscripts of more mathematical nature should have a clear and explicit connection to physical insight or new qualitative features. The word "Solitons" should be understood as a label especially extended to all nonlinear integrable systems in complex natural phenomena. The paper should not bear on some explicit formulae, some standard solutions, constructions, or asymptotic methods.The journal is interested in articles providing strong insights in the mathematical theory of fractals that are profound for an important particular application, especially in complex systems. Numerical computations should only assist the developed results.The submitted Manuscripts should contain presentations which are a) of interdisciplinary interest, b) easily accessible also to a non-specialized-audience, and c) written in an excellent English style.Notice that if the above criteria are not fulfilled, submissions may be desk-rejected by the Journal's Editors without being sent to reviewers.

The Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics (JASTP) is an international journal concerned with the inter-disciplinary science of the Earth's atmospheric and space environment, especially the highly varied and highly variable physical phenomena that occur in this natural laboratory and the processes that couple them.The journal covers the physical processes operating in the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, ionosphere, magnetosphere, the Sun, interplanetary medium, and heliosphere. Phenomena occurring in other "spheres", solar influences on climate, and supporting laboratory measurements are also considered. The journal deals especially with the coupling between the different regions.Solar flares, coronal mass ejections, and other energetic events on the Sun create interesting and important perturbations in the near-Earth space environment. The physics of such "space weather" is central to the Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics and the journal welcomes papers that lead in the direction of a predictive understanding of the coupled system. Regarding the upper atmosphere, the subjects of aeronomy, geomagnetism and geoelectricity, auroral phenomena, radio wave propagation, and plasma instabilities, are examples within the broad field of solar-terrestrial physics which emphasise the energy exchange between the solar wind, the magnetospheric and ionospheric plasmas, and the neutral gas. In the lower atmosphere, topics covered range from mesoscale to global scale dynamics, to atmospheric electricity, lightning and its effects, and to anthropogenic changes.Submissions on these topics may include:The results of experiments and their interpretations, and results of theoretical or modelling studies;Papers dealing with remote sensing carried out from the ground or space and with in situ studies made from rockets or from satellites orbiting the Earth;and,Plans for future research, often carried out within programs of international scope.The Journal also encourages papers involving:Large scale collaborations, especially those with an international perspective;Rapid communications;Papers dealing with novel techniques or methodologies;Commissioned review papers on topical subjects and tutorial reviews;and,Special issues arising from chosen scientific symposia or workshops.JASTP aims to publish innovative research and as such, papers representing incremental improvements to previous studies will, in general, not be considered for publication. Case studies should be of broad interest to the diverse international readership of JASTP and so papers of limited or local significance are not appropriate for this journal.This journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals, in particular SDG 13 (Climate Action)

A Review Section of Physics LettersThe journal Physics Reports publishes timely reviews which are more extensive than just literature surveys but normally less than a full monograph. Each report deals with one specific subject and is generally published in a separate volume. These reviews are specialist in nature but contain enough introductory material to make the main points intelligible to a non-specialist. The reader will not only be able to distinguish important developments and trends in physics but will also find a sufficient number of references to the original literature.Starting in 2025, Physics Reports will inaugurate a new "Rapid Reviews” section. Rapid Reviews are intended to be shorter reviews, which can be completed more quickly (on order three months) than regular reviews, on exciting new subjects. They are intended to reach a broader audience but go into less technical detail than a regular Physics Reports review. The target length is on order 20 pages (as opposed to regular reviews, which are intended to be more than 50 journal pages) and the reviews are intended to allow more in the way of editorializing than regular articles, which are intended to be more balanced, complete, and pedagogical. We aim to publish one such Rapid Review per month.The topics covered by the journal include but are not limited to:Astrophysics and Cosmology,Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics,Biological Physics,Condensed Matter Physics,High Energy Physics,Nanoscience,Non-Linear Dynamics and Complex Systems,Nuclear Physics and Hadronic Physics,Plasma Physics,Statistical Physics.Submission of articles to Physics Reports is by invitation only; unsolicited submissions cannot be accepted. Physics of the Dark Universe is a hybrid journal which aims to provide a flexible platform for the publication of peer reviewed articles in various formats within the fields of Dark Matter, Dark Energy, Early Universe, Gravitational waves and Neutrinos, covering all theoretical, experimental and phenomenological aspects. The Journal welcomes submissions for articles in the following sections: Dark Matter: Models for the cosmological dark matter, including, but not limited to, particle-like, wave-like, black holes; Experimental and observational probes Dark Energy: Models and theoretical scenarios related to the late-time cosmic acceleration; Observations and experimental results; Forecast and design of new experiments Early Universe: Models and observational tests of the pre-recombination Universe, including but not limited to inflation Early universe probes of fundamental physics Dark Messengers: Multiwavelength/multi messenger astrophysics, including but not limited to: Gravitational waves; Cosmic rays; Dark-sector particles and fields; Black hole-related observations (e.g. black hole shadows) Software Description and Manuals can also be published, if the software is proved to have scientific interest in the understanding of Dark Matter and Dark Energy.
