Topology and its Applications is primarily concerned with publishing original research papers of moderate length. However, a limited number of carefully selected survey or expository papers are also included. The mathematical focus of the journal is that suggested by the title: Research in Topology. It is felt that it is inadvisable to attempt a definitive description of topology as understood for this journal. Certainly the subject includes the algebraic, general, geometric, and set-theoretic facets of topology as well as areas of interactions between topology and other mathematical disciplines, e.g. topological algebra, topological dynamics, functional analysis, category theory. The paper should not bear on some explicit formulae, some standard solutions, constructions, or asymptotic methods.The journal is interested in articles providing strong insights in the mathematical theory of fractals that are profound for an important particular application, especially in complex systems. Numerical computations should only assist the developed results.The submitted Manuscripts should contain presentations which are a) of interdisciplinary interest, b) easily accessible also to a non-specialized-audi... and c) written in an excellent English style.Notice that if the above criteria are not fulfilled, submissions may be desk-rejected by the Journal's Editors without being sent to reviewers.

Physica D (Nonlinear Phenomena) publishes research and review articles reporting on theoretical and experimental work, techniques, and ideas that advance the understanding of nonlinear phenomena. The Journal of Algebra is a leading international journal and publishes papers that demonstrate high quality research results in algebra and related computational aspects. Only the very best and most interesting papers are to be considered for publication in the journal. With this in mind, it is important that the contribution offer a substantial result that will have a lasting effect upon the field. The journal also seeks work that presents innovative techniques that offer promising results for future research.The Computational Algebra SectionThe Computational Algebra section has been introduced to provide an appropriate forum for contributions which make use of computer calculations and to broaden the scope of the Journal.The following papers are particularly welcome in the Computational Algebra section of the Journal of Algebra: • Results obtained by computer calculations - to be suitable for publication such results must represent a major advance of mathematics. It is not sufficient to extend previous computations by means of higher computer power. Rather the contribution has to exhibit new methods and mathematical results to be accepted. • Classifications of specific algebraic structures (in form of tables, if appropriate), which are not easily obtained and are useful to the algebraic community. • Description and outcome of experiments, to put forward new conjectures, to support existing conjectures, or to give counter examples to existing conjectures. • Papers emphasizing the constructive aspect of algebra, such as description and analysis of new algorithms (not program listings, nor, in the first instance, discussions of software development issues), improvements and extensions of existing algorithms, description of computational methods which are not algorithms in the strict sense (since, e.g., they need not terminate). • Interactions between algebra and computer science, such as automatic structures, word problems and other decision problems in groups and semigroups, preferably, but not necessarily, with an emphasis on practicality, implementations, and performance of the related algorithms. • Contributions are welcome from all areas of algebra, including algebraic geometry or algebraic number theory, if the emphasis is on the algebraic aspects.Contribution... describing applications of algebraic results or methods, for example in coding theory, cryptography, or the algebraic theory of differential equations are highly welcome. Neural Networks
Neural Networks provides a forum for developing and nurturing an international community of scholars and practitioners who are interested in all aspects of neural networks, including deep learning and related approaches to artificial intelligence and machine learning. Neural Networks welcomes submissions that contribute to the full range of neural networks research, from cognitive modeling and computational neuroscience, through deep learning algorithms and mathematical analyses, to engineering and technological applications of systems that significantly use neural network concepts and learning techniques. This uniquely broad range facilitates the cross-fertilization of ideas between biological and technological studies, and helps to foster the development of the interdisciplinary community that is interested in biologically-inspire... artificial intelligence. Accordingly, the Neural Networks editorial board represents experts in fields including psychology, neurobiology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, and physics. On the other hand, neural networks should be central to submissions. The journal publishes articles, letters, and reviews/tutorials, as well as letters to the editor, editorials, and current events. Articles are published in one of five sections: learning systems, cognitive science, neuroscience, mathematical and computational analysis, engineering and applications.Neural Networks is the archival journal of three of the oldest and most prominent neural network societies: the International Neural Network Society (INNS), the Asia-Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS), and the Japanese Neural Network Society (JNNS).
