Embedded Software DesignThe Journal of Systems Architecture: Embedded Software Design (JSA) is a journal covering all design and architectural aspects related to embedded systems and software. It ranges from the microarchitecture level via the system software level up to the application-specific architecture level. Aspects such as real-time systems, operating systems, programming languages, communications (limited to analysis and the software stack), mobile systems, parallel and distributed architectures as well as additional subjects in the computer and system architecture area will fall within the scope of this journal. Technology will not be a main focus, but its use and relevance to particular designs will be. Case studies are welcome but must contribute more than just a design for a particular piece of software.Design automation of such systems including methodologies, techniques and tools for their design as well as novel designs of software components fall within the scope of this journal. Novel applications that use embedded systems are also central in this journal. While JSA does not focus on hardware design, hardware/software co-design techniques with an emphasis on software are also relevant here.Reproducibility Badge Initiative and Software PublicationReproducibility Badge Initiative (RBI) is a collaboration with Code Ocean (CO), a cloud based computational reproducibility platform that helps the community by enabling sharing of code and data as a resource for non-commercial use. CO verifies the submitted code (and data) and certifies its reproducibility. Code submission will be verified by the Code Ocean team for computational reproducibility by making sure it runs, delivers results and it is self-contained. For more information please visit this help article . Note that an accepted paper will be published independently of the CO application outcome. However, if the paper receives the Reproducibility badge, it will be given additional exposure by having an attached R Badge, and by being citable at the CO website with a DOI.Software ImpactsWe invite you to convert your open source software into an additional journal publication in Software Impacts, a multi-disciplinary open access journal. Software Impacts provides a scholarly reference to software that has been used to address a research challenge. The journal disseminates impactful and re-usable scientific software through Original Software Publications (OSP) which describe the application of the software to research and the published outputs. How to submit an article to Software Impacts, https://www.journals.elsevier.com/software-impacts/For more information contact us at: [email protected] to authors We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. AimMemories- Materials, Devices, Circuits and Systems is an open access journal of related scientific research and technology development and publishes regular research articles, review articles, surveys and short notes such as case studies, methodologies, brief communications, and letter to editor. Our aim is to encourage researchers to publish their original experimental and theoretical results with emphasis on novel materials, modeling, design, performance and reliability of both volatile and non-volatile memory devices; and modelling and/or implementation of related circuits and systems. This journal will cater to the needs of researchers engaged in both academia and industry for developing emerging memory devices, circuits and systems.ScopeThe scope of "Memories- Materials, Devices, Circuits and Systems" includes but is not limited to the following:Memory devices and technologies:Volatile memories such as static and dynamic random-access memories.Flash memorySpintronics based memoriesDomain wall and skyrmions based memoryResistive random-access memory (ReRAM or RRAM)MemristorsPhase Change Memory (PCM)Conductive bridging random-access memory (CBRAM)Ferro-electric random-access memory (FeRAM)Metal Oxide Resistive Memory (OxRAM)Optoelectronic memoriesPhotonics based memoriesOrganic memory devicesThree-dimensional integrated memoryModelling and numerical analysisDevice characterization and fabricationScalability, integration and nano-structuring of memory devicesReliability analysis of emerging memory devicesEmerging conventional and unconventional memoriesMaterials:Novel and emerging materials for state-of-the-art memory devicesMaterial characterization, integration, growth and processing, including both physical and chemical methodsAdvanced material engineering and processing for novel applicationsCircuits and systems:New algorithms or architectures for supporting high-performance memory systemsSystem-on-chip design and verification methodologies based on novel memory devicesHigh frequency applicationsNano oscillatorsEmerging memories for conventional and unconventional computing architecturesMemcomputing and Ising machineProbabilistic and stochastic computingArtificially Intelligent (AI) modeling, architecture, circuit and systemsComputing using waves and complex systemsIn-memory computingQuantum computingNeuromorphic computingMemories for emerging circuits and systems
Embedded Hardware Design Affiliated with EuromicroMicroprocessors and Microsystems: Embedded Hardware Design (MICPRO) is a journal covering all design and architectural aspects related to embedded systems hardware. This includes different embedded system hardware platforms ranging from custom hardware via reconfigurable systems and application specific processors to general purpose embedded processors. Special emphasis is put on novel complex embedded architectures, such as systems on chip (SoC), systems on a programmable/reconfigurable chip (SoPC) and multi-processor systems on a chip (MPSoC), as well as, their memory and communication methods and structures, such as network-on-chip (NoC).Design automation of such systems including methodologies, techniques, flows and tools for their design, as well as, novel designs of hardware components fall within the scope of this journal. Novel cyber-physical applications that use embedded systems are also central in this journal. While software is not in the main focus of this journal, methods of hardware/software co-design, as well as, application restructuring and mapping to embedded hardware platforms, that consider interplay between software and hardware components with emphasis on hardware, are also in the journal scope.
