    • ISSN: 0364-5916
The design of industrial processes requires reliable thermodynamic data. CALPHAD (Computer Coupling of Phase Diagrams and Thermochemistry) aims to promote computational thermodynamics through development of models to represent thermodynamic properties for various phases which permit prediction of properties of multicomponent systems from those of binary and ternary subsystems, critical assessment of data and their incorporation into self-consistent databases, development of software to optimize and derive thermodynamic parameters and the development and use of databanks for calculations to improve understanding of various industrial and technological processes. This work is disseminated through the CALPHAD journal and its annual conference. Contributions of high quality in these and related fields, especially the fields of first-principles calculations, experimental measurements of thermochemical and phase equilibrium data, phase transformations, and the process and materials designs that the CALPHAD works are based on or used for, are welcome. Please see our Guide for Authors for information on article submission. • Chem Circularity

    • ISSN: 3051-2948
Chem Circularity is a Cell Press journal publishing cutting-edge insights and research to advance the pursuit of closed-loop solutions. The journal publishes insights and innovations across disciplines that transform linear processes into sustainable, closed-loop systems with an emphasis on reduction, redesign, reuse, and recycling.Chem Circularity is passionate about highlighting the advances and fostering connections between academic, industrial, and governmental stakeholders while considering the importance of multiple disciplines and sectors to sustainable and circular chemistry and engineering. Researchers and practitioners are actively pursuing circularity in chemistry, engineering, materials science, biotechnology, industrial ecology, environmental science, business, public policy, and beyond. Accordingly, Chem Circularity aims to publish across disciplines to ensure the responsible production and consumption of the chemicals and materials that underpin our world.Chem Circularity publishes high-quality research, reviews, and perspectives, as well as commentaries and other short-format pieces, that consider developments across all stages of a product’s life cycle. The journal encourages the submission of significant advances in sustainable and circular chemistry and engineering (spanning agricultural chemicals, basic chemicals, specialty chemicals, consumer products, and pharmaceuticals). It also considers content that advances circularity in related sectors, including energy, construction, water, food, healthcare, and transportation, while remaining grounded in circular chemistry, materials, and engineering innovations.Topics that are of particular interest to Chem Circularity include but are not limited to:Circular chemical and materials systemsCircular bioprocessesWaste reduction, management, reuse, and valorizationSafe and sustainable-by-desig... processesRenewable feedstocks and catalysisRecycling and upcycling processesRedesign of chemicals and materials for circularityResource recovery through separation chemistry, biology, and materials scienceCritical mineral supply chains, recovery, and recyclingProcess modeling, life cycle assessment, and techno-economic analysisValue-chain management and material-flow analysesResource efficiency and system decarbonizationIndus... ecology and symbiosisGovernance, legislation, and policy for circularityCircular economy and societal implicationsChem Circularity is committed to the high-quality publishing values synonymous with the Cell Press brand and strives to publish exceptional content relevant to practitioners of sustainable chemistry, engineering, and biotechnology, and provide a fair, rapid, and rigorous peer-review process via a dedicated team of in-house professional editors.
