Journals in Neural aging
Journals in Neural aging
This portfolio investigates the molecular basis of nerve function, signaling pathways, and neuroplasticity. Supporting biochemists, geneticists, and neuroscientists, it features innovative techniques and disease mechanisms that foster breakthroughs in neurodegenerative diseases, synaptic function, and targeted therapies.
Neurobiology of Aging
Neurobiology of Aging publishes the results of studies in behavior, biochemistry, cell biology, endocrinology, molecular biology, morphology, neurology, neuropathology, pharmacology, physiology and protein chemistry in which the primary emphasis involves mechanisms of nervous system changes with age or diseases associated with age. Reviews and primary research articles are included, occasionally accompanied by open peer commentary. Letters to the Editor and brief communications are also acceptable. Brief reports of highly time-sensitive material are usually treated as rapid communications in which case editorial review is completed within six weeks and publication scheduled for the next available issue. The accepted abbreviation for Neurobiology of Aging for bibliographic citation is Neurobiol. AgingPlease see this Editorial for additional information specific to Neurobiology of Aging. Authors are also welcome to submit their manuscripts to the journal's open access companion title, Aging Brain.- ISSN: 0197-4580

Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics
Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics is an international journal integrating experimental, clinical and social studies on aging. The journal provides a medium for the publication of papers from the fields of experimental gerontology and clinical and social geriatrics. The principal aim of the journal is to facilitate the exchange of information between specialists in these three fields of gerontological research. Experimental papers dealing with the basic mechanisms of aging at molecular, cellular, tissue or organ levels will be published.Clinical papers will be accepted if they provide sufficiently new information or are of fundamental importance for the knowledge of human aging. Purely descriptive clinical papers will be accepted only if the results permit further interpretation. Papers dealing with anti-aging pharmacological preparations in humans are welcome. Papers on the social aspects of geriatrics will be accepted if they are of general interest regarding the epidemiology of aging and the efficiency and working methods of the social organizations for the health care of the elderly.- ISSN: 0167-4943

Mechanisms of Ageing and Development
The Official Journal of the European Society of Preventive, Regenerative and Anti-aging Medicine (ESAAM) Mechanisms of Ageing and Development is a multidisciplinary journal aimed at revealing the molecular, biochemical and biological mechanisms that underlie the processes of ageing and development in various species as well as of age-associated diseases. Emphasis is placed on investigations that delineate the contribution of macromolecular damage and cytotoxicity, genetic programs, epigenetics and genetic instability, mitochondrial function, alterations of metabolism and innovative anti-aging approaches. For all of the mentioned studies it is necessary to address the underlying mechanisms. Purely descriptive or correlative or case studies as well as various -omics data not linked to functional analyses are not considered.Mechanism... of Ageing and Development publishes original research, review and mini-review articles. Authors should denote in the cover letter how their research is linked with previously published work. Review and mini-review articles are considered from authors having a documented experience and a strong publication record in the given field. The journal also publishes Special Issues that focus on emerging research areas. Special Issues may include all types of articles following peer review. Proposals should be sent directly to the Editor-in-Chief.- ISSN: 0047-6374
