Please note that reviews are only accepted upon editorial invitation.Short Communications have the following limits. The manuscript should ideally contain no more than 4-6 Figures/Tables and 4000 words, including the title page, all sections of the manuscript (including the references), and Figure/Table legends. The abstract should be limited to 200 words.Microbial Pathogenesis does not accept submissions that primarily consist of (a) bioinformatics or computational analysis of public genomic or transcriptomic databases, or (b) the testing and evaluation of previously uncharacterized natural product-based drug candidates. The journal does not publish purely bioinformatic or computational studies without substantial experimental validation. Please be aware that experimental validation is a mandatory requirement for all submissions.- ISSN: 0882-4010

Journal of Clinical Virology
Journal of Clinical Virology is an international journal and is the Official journal of the Pan American Society for Clinical Virology and The European Society for Clinical Virology.Journal of Clinical Virology aims to publish papers and reviews on the clinical aspects of human virology. It publishes articles on diagnostical methods and virus-induced clinical conditions. The manuscripts should be clinically practical and relevant.Submissions on new technologies for viral diagnosis and monitoring are particularly welcomed. The journal publishes on topics that include:• new diagnostic technologies • nucleic acid amplification and serologic testing • targeted and metagenomic next-generation sequencing • emerging pandemic viral threats • respiratory viruses • transplant viruses • chronic viral infections • cancer-associated viruses • gastrointestinal viruses • central nervous system viruses • one health (excludes animal health)Journal of Clinical Virology does not accept submissions on single cases or case series. Please submit manuscripts of this type to IDcases. Journal of Clinical Virology also does not accept submissions on fundamental virology. Please submit manuscripts of this type to Virology.- ISSN: 1386-6532

International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents
Official journal of the International Society of Antimicrobial ChemotherapyThe International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents provides comprehensive and up-to-date peer reviewed reference information on the physical, pharmacological, in vitro and clinical properties of individual antimicrobial agents (antiviral agents, antiparasitic agents, antibacterial agents, antifungal agents, etc.). In addition, the journal signals new trends and developments in the field through highly authoritative review articles on antimicrobial agents. Special attention is given to articles providing insight into the problems of antimicrobial resistance both in the hospital and in the community. Both solicited reviews by top experts in the mentioned fields and high-quality original research papers are published.Additional information on the ISAC and its activities can be found at the ISAC Web site at: https://www.isac.wor...- ISSN: 0924-8579

Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis is a speciality journal focusing on basic experimental research on tuberculosis.Tubercu... aims to publish original research and reviews. It publishes articles on host response and immunology of tuberculosis and the molecular biology, genetics and physiology of the organism.Submissions on bacteriological, immunological and pathogenesis aspects of the disease are particularly welcomed. The journal publishes topics including:• Clinical Trials • Diagnostics • Antimicrobial resistance • Immunology • Leprosy • Microbiology, including microbial physiology • Molecular epidemiology • Non-tuberculous Mycobacteria • Pathogenesis & Pathology • Vaccine developmentPlease note Tuberculosis does not consider:submissions with a meta-analytical focus (e.g., articles based on searches of published articles in public electronic databases will not be considered, especially where there is lack of evidence of the personal involvement of authors in the generation of such material). articles reporting the reanalysis of published data sets to generate hypotheses where there is lack of evidence of the personal involvement of authors in the generation of such material, and where no attempt has been made to test hypotheses experimentally will not be considered.case report submissions or clinical case studies. Submit manuscripts of this type to the companion journals IDCases and Clinical Microbiology Newsletter.articles reporting in silico drug discovery and molecular modelling will not be considered without experimental work to demonstrate meaningful insight into the activity of the series under investigation; further biological evaluation of the mechanism of action, cytotoxicity and potential for drug development is encouraged.Review articles that do NOT offer novel perspectives or insight into a topic and are NOT of general interest to the readership of the journal, or have been covered recently elsewhere, will not be considered.- ISSN: 1472-9792

Acta Tropica
Acta Tropica is an international journal on infectious diseases that covers public health sciences, medical and veterinary entomology, and biomedical research with particular emphasis on topics relevant to human and animal health. Its scope includes the biology of pathogens and vectors, host-parasite relationships, mechanisms of pathogenicity, clinical disease and chemotherapy. We welcome contributions in basic or applied research in disciplines such as epidemiology, disease ecology, diagnostics, interventions and control, drug and insecticide resistance, mathematical modelling, public health and social sciences, climate change, parasite and vector taxonomy, biology, ecology and behaviour, host and parasite genomics, biochemistry, immunology, and vaccine testing.Contribution... may be in the form of original research papers, review articles, short communications, opinion articles, or letters to the Editors.Only manuscripts of high scientific significance and innovation will be considered for publication. Criteria for rejection without review:Out of scopeManuscripts of minimal international relevance, including regional reports and studies of local interestCase reportsParasite and vector control strategies at very early inconclusive laboratory stages of development. For vector control studies, field validation is requiredField studies not replicated at least over two yearsStudies dealing with natural products (e.g., plant extracts) not characterized from a chemical point of view.Ethical issues, including plagiarism, submission of the manuscript to multiple journals, and lack of ethical approval where needed.Important Guidelines for AcceptanceEditors and the Editorial Board of Acta Tropica provide the following guidelines to help authors prepare manuscripts of high quality that can be considered for publication. Maximize your chances of acceptance by making sure your manuscript:Matches the scientific scope of the journalFollows the instructions specified in Acta Tropica guide for authorsPresents results that significantly advance science including innovative new approachesMeets quality standards of presentation and literature citationDemonstrates potential health or biomedical impact. The above points are critical for the publication of original papers. Be aware Editors carefully evaluate initial manuscript submissions and only those meeting the above criteria will be forwarded to review. If reviewed favourably and the authors seriously address all concerns, then chances of acceptance are increased. Review and Opinion articles may be invited by the Editors in Chief or submitted by authors responding to a recognized need. Reviews are expected to carefully synthesize and discuss the literature and make recommendations to advance respective scientific fields. Reviews and Opinions submitted by authors without research experience on the topic covered by the manuscript will not be considered. Systematic reviews adhering to PRISMA guidelines and meta-analyses are welcome. For any inquiry about Reviews and Opinions please contact our Special Content Editor, Prof. John Beier.- ISSN: 0001-706X
