Journal of Immunological Methods
The Journal of Immunological Methods is devoted to covering techniques for:(1) Quantitating and detecting antibodies and/or antigens. (2) Purifying immunoglobulins, lymphokines and other molecules of the immune system. (3) Isolating antigens and other substances important in immunological processes. (4) Labelling antigens and antibodies. (5) Localizing antigens and/or antibodies in tissues and cells. (6) Detecting, and fractionating immunocompetent cells. (7) Assaying for cellular immunity. (8) Documenting cell-cell interactions. (9) Initiating immunity and unresponsiveness. (10) Transplanting tissues. (11) Studying items closely related to immunity such as complement, reticuloendothelial system and others. (12) Molecular techniques for studying immune cells and their receptors. (13) Imaging of the immune system. (14) Methods for production or their fragments in eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. (15) Computational methods including statistical and mathematical methods and computational models for analysis, visualization, and interpretation of results.Submitted full length manuscripts should describe new methods of broad applicability to immunology and not simply the application of an established method - although papers describing such applications may be considered for publication as a short Technical Note. Review articles will also be published by the Journal of Immunological Methods, but these manuscripts are by invitation only.

Biomaterials
Biomaterials is an international journal covering the science and clinical application of biomaterials. A biomaterial is now defined as a substance that has been engineered to take a form which, alone or as part of a complex system, is used to direct, by control of interactions with components of living systems, the course of any therapeutic or diagnostic procedure. It is the aim of the journal to provide a peer-reviewed forum for the publication of original papers and authoritative review and opinion papers dealing with the most important issues facing the use of biomaterials in clinical practice. The scope of the journal covers the wide range of physical, biological and chemical sciences that underpin the design of biomaterials and the clinical disciplines in which they are used. These sciences include polymer synthesis and characterization, drug and gene vector design, the biology of the host response, immunology and toxicology and self assembly at the nanoscale. Clinical applications include the therapies of medical technology and regenerative medicine in all clinical disciplines, and diagnostic systems that reply on innovative contrast and sensing agents. The journal is relevant to areas such as cancer diagnosis and therapy, implantable devices, drug delivery systems, gene vectors, bionanotechnology and tissue engineering.Click here for New Editorial Instructions.Benefit... to authors We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Journal of Microbiological Methods
The Journal of Microbiological Methods publishes Research, Review and Short Communication articles on novel, state-of-the-art, and significantly improved methodologies in microbiology. Innovative, validated applications of existing methods that advance the field are also welcome. JMM considers research on all types of microorganisms including protozoa, fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Data must clearly support method interpretation and utility. The scope includes, but is not limited to:· Environmental, Agricultural & Ecological Microbiology: Applied and environmental microbiology, microbial ecology and diversity, soil/sediment/geomic... microbiomes, rumen microbiology, and methods for extreme environments including space missions.· Genetics, Molecular & Cellular Microbiology: Microbial genetics, genomics, molecular microbiology, physiology, ultrastructure, imaging, high-throughput sequencing, omics technologies (metabolomics, metagenomics, proteomics, transcriptomics), bioinformatics, and mathematical modeling.· Clinical, Medical, Veterinary & Public Health Microbiology: Diagnostics, clinical and veterinary microbiology, public health, vaccine development, sero-diagnostics, immunology, typing, and microbial identification.· Microbial Interactions & Pathogenesis: Host-pathogen interactions, microbiome interactions, plant-microbe relationships, parasitology, and mycology.· Virology: Innovative approaches for virus detection, isolation, quantification, and characterization, including molecular techniques, cell culture assays, viral genomics, imaging technologies, and high-throughput screening methods.· Technological Advances & Method Development: Bioassays, biosensors biochemical methods, sampling techniques, robotics, and radioisotope applications in microbiology.· Food Microbiology: Studies on the role of microorganisms in food production, preservation, spoilage, and foodborne illnesses.· Industrial Microbiology: Explores the industrial applications of microorganisms, such as in the production of pharmaceuticals, enzymes, and biofuels.· Mathematical modelling, computer science, and artificial intelligence techniques. We invite proposals for review articles and special issues on emerging microbiological methods driving scientific progress.

International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents
Official journal of the International Society of Antimicrobial ChemotherapyThe International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents provides comprehensive and up-to-date peer reviewed reference information on the physical, pharmacological, in vitro and clinical properties of individual antimicrobial agents (antiviral agents, antiparasitic agents, antibacterial agents, antifungal agents, etc.). In addition, the journal signals new trends and developments in the field through highly authoritative review articles on antimicrobial agents. Special attention is given to articles providing insight into the problems of antimicrobial resistance both in the hospital and in the community. Both solicited reviews by top experts in the mentioned fields and high-quality original research papers are published.Additional information on the ISAC and its activities can be found at the ISAC Web site at: https://www.isac.wor...

Journal of Biotechnology
The Journal of Biotechnology (J. Biotech.) offers publication for both full-length articles and short communications on a wide range of biotechnology-relate... topics. Also, review articles can be submitted if they are pre-approved by one of the editors. The journal will only accept submissions with novel scientific research results that are directly relevant to biotechnological systems and/or applications (for details, please see the list below). J. Biotech. has strict rules about plagiarism. Any submission that includes parts of already published material will be rejected. This includes any attempt to re-publish already published Materials and Methods paragraphs. The journal features a "one-pass review process," i.e., eligible submissions will be reviewed, and those that need improvements (either minor or major) can be resubmitted only once before the decision about whether to accept or reject is decided by the Chief Editor. All figures need to be submitted as high-resolution files during the initial submission. All articles must be written in English, and the quality of the English language will be one of the criteria during the review process.Main Scope of the Journal:Bioprocess engineeringSystem biology, synthetic microbiologyMetaboli... engineering, microbial physiologyBiorefiner... biomass engineeringBiochemic... enzyme/protein engineeringMetabolic engineeringMicrobial expression systemsBiocatalyst engineeringInsect cell-based modelsMultienzyme cascade reactionsPlant-based biotechnologyOutside of the Scope:Manuscripts lacking noveltyReview articles submitted without previous invitation/confirmat... by an editorEnvironmental-... subjects, e.g., waste-water treatment, bioremediation, biodegradationReport... on the cloning and/or expression of naturally occurring enzymes without direct biotechnological applicationResearch on natural products without biotechnological modificationToxicolo... researchPharmacologi... researchFood science-related research without biotechnological applicationEngineeri... articles that do not deal with the direct improvement of biotechnological processesGenome research, especially genome sequencing reportsBenefits to authors We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more.
