Research and Methods in Cell and Tissue BiologyActa Histochemica is a classic scientific journal established in 1954 currently focused on basic research and methodological innovations in cell and tissue biology. The aim of the journal is to promote the peer-reviewed publication of original articles and short communications reporting novel results and experimental approaches in the field, as well as comprehensive reviews, letters to the editor and meeting reports, serving as an open forum for the cell and histochemical research community. Manuscripts analysing the mechanisms of functional regulation of living systems at a cell/tissue level, in physiological or pathological conditions, or reporting new techniques and methodological approaches to quantify/visualize cellular activities are particularly welcomed.

Official Journal of the Society of Radiopharmaceutical SciencesNuclear Medicine and Biology publishes original research addressing all aspects of radiopharmaceutical science for imaging as well as therapeutic applications. More specifically the synthesis (automated and manual), in vitro and ex vivo studies, in vivo biodistribution by dissection or imaging, radiopharmacology, radiopharmacy of new radiopharmaceuticals... Translational studies of novel targeted radiopharmaceuticals... e.g. first in human use, are warmly welcomed. In addition, in vivo imaging studies using radioactive tracers for physiological and pathophysiological research or drug discovery support are welcome. In all cases, the importance of the target to an unmet clinical need should be the first consideration.These multidisciplinary studies should validate the mechanism of localization whether the tracer is based on binding to a receptor, enzyme, antigen, or another well-defined target. The studies should be aimed at evaluating how the chemical and radiopharmaceutical properties affect pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, or therapeutic efficacy. Ideally, the study would address the sensitivity of the tracer to changes in disease or treatment, although studies validating mechanism alone are acceptable as well. Alcohol
Alcohol is an international, peer-reviewed journal that is devoted to publishing multi-disciplinary biomedical research on all aspects of the actions or effects of alcohol on the nervous system or on other organ systems. Emphasis is given to studies into the causes and consequences of alcohol abuse and alcoholism, and biomedical aspects of diagnosis, etiology, treatment or prevention of alcohol-related health effects.Intended for both research scientists and practicing clinicians, the journal publishes original research on the neurobiological, neurobehavioral, and pathophysiological processes associated with alcohol drinking, alcohol abuse, alcohol-seeking behavior, tolerance, dependence, withdrawal, protracted abstinence, and relapse. In addition, the journal reports studies on the effects alcohol on brain mechanisms of neuroplasticity over the life span, biological factors associated with adolescent alcohol abuse, pharmacotherapeutic strategies in the treatment of alcoholism, biological and biochemical markers of alcohol abuse and alcoholism, pathological effects of uncontrolled drinking, biomedical and molecular factors in the effects on liver, immune system, and other organ systems, and biomedical aspects of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder including mechanisms of damage, diagnosis and early detection, treatment, and prevention. Articles are published from all levels of biomedical inquiry, including the following: molecular and cellular studies of alcohol's actions in vitro and in vivo; animal model studies of genetic, pharmacological, behavioral, developmental or pathophysiological aspects of alcohol; human studies of genetic, behavioral, cognitive, neuroimaging, or pathological aspects of alcohol drinking; clinical studies of diagnosis (including dual diagnosis), treatment, prevention, and epidemiology. The journal will publish 9 issues per year; the accepted abbreviation for Alcohol for bibliographic citation is Alcohol.Alcohol subscribes to the tenets of The Farmington Consensus. Submission of a paper to the journal will be taken as evidence that the authors have complied with the tenets set forth in the Consensus. All submitted material will be subject to peer review. Alcohol considers three types of manuscripts for publication:- Original research articles are full-length reports of the authors' original research addressing topics consistent with the Aims and Scope of the journal. Submissions outside the scope of the journal, or incomplete or fragmentary submissions, will not be considered.- Rapid communications are original, high-quality manuscripts that describe new data of high impact and major importance to the field. These contributions are typically short (e.g., 4 journal pages), and will be peer-reviewed by at least one expert in the field of the research and an Editor, and will be either accepted with minimal or no revisions or rejected. Publication of accepted rapid communications will be expedited.- Invited review articles will be considered for publication, upon invitation from the Editor-in-Chief, as full-length papers or mini-reviews. Neurobiology of Aging
Neurobiology of Aging publishes the results of studies in behavior, biochemistry, cell biology, endocrinology, molecular biology, morphology, neurology, neuropathology, pharmacology, physiology and protein chemistry in which the primary emphasis involves mechanisms of nervous system changes with age or diseases associated with age. Reviews and primary research articles are included, occasionally accompanied by open peer commentary. Letters to the Editor and brief communications are also acceptable. Brief reports of highly time-sensitive material are usually treated as rapid communications in which case editorial review is completed within six weeks and publication scheduled for the next available issue. Journal of Anxiety Disorders is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the understanding, assessment, treatment, and prevention of anxiety disorders. The journal welcomes submissions on all aspects of anxiety disorders included in the current diagnostic classification system as well as on disorders formerly categorized as anxiety disorders (e.g., obsessive-compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder). Topics of interest related to anxiety disorders include behavioral, cognitive and biological assessments; diagnosis and classification; neuroscience and genetics; sociocultural considerations; mechanisms and comorbidities; epidemiology; psychosocial and psychopharmacologica... treatments; prevention; implementation science; theoretical advancement; and policy. Methodologies can include clinical trials, experimental paradigms, intensive longitudinal designs, mixed methods or qualitative approaches, among others. Review articles that adhere to rigorous, recommended guidelines, are preferably pre-registered, and significantly contribute to advancing knowledge in the field are also appropriate for submission. Theoretical advancements are also appropriate for submission.The mission of the journal is three-fold. One goal is to promote translational work in anxiety disorders research, so that we can effectively bridge the gap between basic science, clinical research, implementation, practice, and policy. The Official Journal of the Association for Veterinary Teaching and Research WorkResearch in Veterinary Science is an international multi-disciplinary journal publishing novel original research and high-impact reviews of great scientific and ethical standard in all aspects of veterinary and comparative biomedical research. The primary aim of the journal is to inform the veterinary and biomedical research community of significant scientific advances and teaching methods in the field of veterinary education, and to provide a multidisciplinary forum for the discussion and debate of novel biomedical research and teaching within a "One-Health" context. The journal achieves these goals through the prompt promotion and dissemination of high-quality scientific knowledge to a broad range of professionals globally.The journal encourages the submission of high-quality novel research that has clear implications for the prevention, treatment, or control of zoonotic and animal diseases, including improved understanding of disease pathogenesis and epidemiology, and that therefore contribute to a substantial improvement of animal and human health. Papers studying the origin, pathogenesis, and spread of diseases, as well as new or improved methods of diagnosis and treatment, or describing novel aspects of immunology, physiology and welfare in animals of veterinary concern are explicitly welcome.Studies that lack novelty or scientific rigor, including studies without a robust scientific hypothesis or that are preliminary or of low scientific impact, are not appropriate for the journal. Furthermore, poorly designed and controlled studies, studies that lack appropriate replication or that for other reasons lack generalizability including studies that are not generalizable beyond a local or limited geographic area, and case studies or field reports lacking an advancement in general knowledge do not fall within the scope of the journal. While systematic reviews and meta-analyses are explicitly welcome, the journal publishes only a very limited number of high-quality and high-impact narrative reviews. Authors are encouraged to follow accepted reporting guidelines, such as the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) in developing their reviews.

Social Science & Medicine provides an international interdisciplinary forum for the dissemination of social science research on health. We publish original research articles (both empirical and theoretical), reviews, position papers and commentaries on health issues, to inform current research, policy and practice in all areas of common interest to social scientists, health practitioners, and policy makers.
