Peer review under responsibility of Chang Gung UniversityBiomedical Journal publishes 6 peer-reviewed issues per year in all fields of clinical and biomedical sciences for an internationally diverse readership for authors from around the world.Clinical studies, accounts of clinical trials, biomarker studies, and characterization of human pathogens are within the scope of the journal, as well as basic studies in model species such as Escherichia coli, Caenorhabditis elegans, Drosophila melanogaster, and Mus musculus revealing the function of molecules, the function of cells, and the characteristics of tissues relevant for human health. However, articles on other species can be published if they contribute to our understanding of basic mechanisms of biology.A highly-cited international editorial board assures timely publication of manuscripts. Reviews on recent progress in biomedical sciences are commissioned by the editors.
The International Peer-Reviewed Journal of Drug TherapyClinical Therapeutics provides peer-reviewed, rapid publication of recent developments in drug and other therapies as well as in diagnostics, pharmacoeconomics, health policy, treatment outcomes, and innovations in drug and biologics research. In addition Clinical Therapeutics features updates on specific topics collated by expert Topic Editors. Clinical Therapeutics is read by a large international audience of scientists and clinicians in a variety of research, academic, and clinical practice settings. Articles are indexed by all major biomedical abstracting databases.Published articles range from pivotal studies exploring new chemical entities in large, multicenter trials to those exploring repurposing of marketed agents. Additionally, pilot studies; reports that assess drug safety and tolera-bility in all phases of development; new routes of administration and new formulations; pharmacokinetic, bio-availability, and biosimilarity; and changes in practice guidelines and standards, are all of interest for publication. Clinical Therapeutics also understands the importance of strengthening the body of evidence surrounding particular agents through the publication of replication studies, negative trials, and failed trials.Beyond the clinic, we seek reports that examine the real-world implications of therapeutics such as comparative effectiveness and pharmacoeconomics studies as well as work that has implications for health policy. Commentaries, which include perspectives and contemporary issues, are sought to offer a balance of viewpoints and scholarly opinion on a broad array of drug-related topics. Case reports, which remain a vital part of our mission, offer clinically valuable lessons. All manuscripts are peer reviewed by independent clinicians or scientists for clinical relevance, technical accuracy, methodological rigor, clarity, and objectivity using a blind review process. In addition to feature articles published monthly, each issue of Clinical Therapeutics features a specific theme section dedicated to an annual update of a specific topic area. A special guest editor will comprise each update with reviews, commentaries, and original research highlighting what's new or controversial in the topical specialty. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts for consideration in the topic updates, identifying submissions as such in their cover letters. Submissions not selected for the updates will be considered for general publication. Submit your manuscript at https://www.editorialmanager.com/clinther.
Heliyon considers research from all areas of the physical, applied, life, social and medical sciences. We publish manuscripts reporting scientifically accurate and valuable research, which adheres to accepted ethical and scientific publishing standards. As such Heliyon publishes new insights as well as extensions on existing theories, negative/null results and replication studies.Submissions covering arts, humanities and law are not considered in Heliyon. Authors of these submissions are encouraged to submit directly to our partner journal Social Sciences & Humanities Open.Heliyon classifies manuscripts/articles into different sections based on the research topic discussed. Some sections exclude certain types of studies from their scope. AimsMechanobiology in Medicine (MBM) aspires to become one of the most prominent publishing venue in mechanobiology by bringing together the most important advances in the discipline, enhancing their visibility by means of opinion and news articles, and providing overviews of the state of the art in each field through topic-, disease- or technology-focused review articles.By publishing content that traverses field boundaries, Mechanobiology in Medicine helps to build bridges between engineers, life scientists, and medical professionals. Mechanobiology is an interdisciplinary discipline that combines biology, engineering, chemistry, physics and medicine. It is a comprehensive and high-tech discipline focused on how physical forces and changes in the mechanical properties of cells and tissues contribute to development, cell differentiation, physiology, and disease-related through understanding mechanotransduction-the molecular mechanisms by which cells sense and respond to mechanical signals.ScopeMechanobiology in Medicine is a peer-reviewed, online, open access journal focused on fundamental research of mechanobiology by studyingthe structure, function and interrelationship within human body at multiple levels using principles and methods of modern natural science and engineering technology, and trying to provide novel insights into how mechanical inputs regulate cell behavior and tissue homeostasis and how their deregulation might cause disease. The journal includes research articles, reviews, and rapid communications with a focus on the mechanobiological advances for disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment.Topics covered in Mechanobiology in Medicine includeCellular and molecular mechanobiology, mechanosensors, mechanotransduction, cellular dynamics, cellular mechanical response, multitissue interactions, and mechanical regulation in diseases and healthMechanobiology in biological processes, mechanical memory, mechanobiology in development, organismal morphogenesis, and tissue and cell remodelingTechnologies in mechanobiology research, biochips, mechanobiology in biomaterials, mechanobiomarkers, single-molecule approaches, and immunoengineeringClinical applications, including translational medicine, regenerative medicine, and drug delivery
