Revista Española de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología

The Spanish Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (RECOT) is the official scientific publication of the Spanish Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT) and the leading reference in the Spanish language within the specialty.

Its mission is to disseminate scientific and technical knowledge in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, covering clinical practice, basic and applied research, and the study of the musculoskeletal system in adults and children.

The journal promotes the advancement of the specialty by publishing original articles, reviews and updates prepared by experts, promoting continuing education and the exchange of experiences among professionals. It also acts as a forum for debate and innovation among orthopaedic surgeons, researchers and related specialists, with the aim of improving the quality of care and promoting research at the national and international level.

The journal accepts original works in English and Spanish related to the field of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology.

RECOT has an independent and prestigious Editorial Committee, and all works are evaluated through blind peer review. The journal is indexed in the main international databases: MEDLINE/PubMed, IME, EMBASE, Bibliomed, SCOPUS and IBECS.

La Revista Española de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología (RECOT) es la publicación científica oficial de la Sociedad Española de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología (SECOT) y la principal referencia en lengua española dentro de la especialidad.

Su misión es difundir el conocimiento científico y técnico en Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología, abarcando la práctica clínica, la investigación básica y aplicada, y el estudio del aparato locomotor en el adulto y en el niño.

La revista promueve el avance de la especialidad mediante la publicación de artículos originales, revisiones y actualizaciones elaboradas por expertos, impulsando la formación continua y el intercambio de experiencias entre profesionales. Además, actúa como un foro de debate e innovación entre cirujanos ortopédicos, investigadores y especialistas afines, con el objetivo de mejorar la calidad asistencial y fomentar la investigación a nivel nacional e internacional.

La revista acepta trabajos originales en inglés y español relacionados con el campo de la Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología.

La RECOT cuenta con un Comité Editorial independiente y de reconocido prestigio, y todos los trabajos son evaluados mediante revisión por pares ciega. La revista está indexada en las principales bases de datos internacionales: MEDLINE/PubMed, IME, EMBASE, Bibliomed, SCOPUS e IBECS.
