Respiratory Medicine is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the understanding, diagnosis, and management of respiratory diseases. Its mission is to publish high-quality original research, comprehensive reviews, and clinically relevant studies that contribute to improving care for patients with both acute and chronic respiratory disorders.

Scope of the journal includes (but is not limited to):

  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, bronchiectasis, and interstitial lung diseases

  • Pulmonary infections, tuberculosis, and emerging respiratory pathogens

  • Sleep-related breathing disorders and sleep medicine

  • Respiratory failure, critical care, and mechanical ventilation

  • Lung cancer and thoracic oncology

  • Translational research on respiratory pathophysiology, immunology, and inflammation

  • Environmental and occupational lung diseases, smoking-related injury, and air pollution effects

  • Advances in diagnostic imaging, pulmonary function testing, and biomarkers
