Pharmacology Biochemistry and Behavior

Pharmacology Biochemistry & Behavior publishes original reports in the areas of psychiatry, neurology, and addiction in which the primary emphasis and theoretical context are behavioral. Contributions may involve clinical, preclinical, or basic research. Purely biochemical or toxicological studies will not be considered for publication.

Papers focusing on physiological processes (e.g., peripheral pain mechanisms, body temperature regulation, or seizure activity) are not accepted, as we wish to maintain the journal's focus on behavior and its interaction with the biochemistry and neurochemistry of the central nervous system.

Studies describing the effects of plant-derived materials will be considered provided that the active ingredients are characterized, the extraction methods are clearly described, and the doses tested are well defined.
