Journal of Patient Safety and Infection Control(JPSIC) is the official peer-reviewed publication of Hospital Infection Society-India. The journal aims to spread awareness and encourage research in the field of healthcare-associated infections and promote usage of antimicrobials in human infections. There is a dearth of published scientific data on prevention of infection in Indian subcontinent, and this journal provides an official forum for experts from various specialties to provide strategies of implementing best practices on patient safety and infection prevention. Ultimately the journal intends to promote create a safety culture in healthcare through practical evidence-based methods.

Article types published in JPSIC include original articles, review articles, letter to the editor, case reports and short reports.
