JCOT Aims & Objectives

The Journal of Clinical Orthopaedics and Trauma (JCOT) is the official journal of the Delhi Orthopaedic Association (DOA), India.

JCOT aims to serve as a leading source for disseminating cutting-edge clinical and basic research related to the musculoskeletal (MSK) system, covering orthopaedic trauma, elective and emerging technology applications.

To achieve these aims, JCOT focuses on several key objectives.

JCOT publishes high-quality peer-reviewed original research and review articles on a range of topics such as orthopaedic trauma, joint replacement, spine, paediatric orthopaedics, sports medicine, musculoskeletal infections, hand surgery, orthopaedic oncology including rehabilitation. It encourages innovative, cutting-edge research in MSK biology and engineering, and novel case reports. The journal also features regular editorials written by experts in the field, comprehensive “Virtual Special Issues" on specific orthopaedic themes, educational videos on innovative surgical techniques or procedures, and articles highlighting new clinical signs in orthopaedic patient examination.

As a PubMed indexed journal, JCOT endeavours to publish premium-quality articles fostering international exchange of ideas, knowledge of evidence-based medicine to enhance patient care and outcomes.
