Request a sales quoteThe Journal of Catalysis publishes original, rigorous, and scholarly contributions in the fields of heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis including thermal, electro-, and photocatalysis for impactful chemistries.
We prioritize studies that advance knowledge of catalytic science including the connections between catalytic function and fundamental properties of the reacting molecules, the catalytic materials, and the reaction environment. Such contributions present fundamental and conceptual insights obtained from original data derived from:
Kinetic evaluation, microkinetic analysis, and mechanistic studies
Computational assessments of reactive species and complexes
Spectroscopic characterization of reactive species and operating catalysts
We also value framework-oriented discussions of catalytic concepts and perspectives informed by examination of existing literature, which are published in the form of pedagogical reviews and perspectives.
We aim for Journal of Catalysis to publish evidential articles of enduring value that advance fundamental and transferable knowledge in catalysis and reaction engineering.
