Official Journal of EORTC and EUSOMA
The European Journal of Cancer (EJC) integrates preclinical, digital, translational, and clinical research in cancer, from epidemiology, carcinogenesis and biology through to innovations in cancer treatment and patient care. Within its digital oncology scope, the journal welcomes high-quality studies on artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational imaging and pathology, digital biomarkers, real-world data, electronic health record-based research, digital therapeutics, clinical decision support, large language models and other digital health applications relevant to cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and patient care. The journal prioritises digital and AI studies that are clinically grounded, methodologically robust, transparently reported, appropriately validated, and that consider generalisability, reproducibility, patient safety, privacy, equity and potential sources of bias. The journal publishes original research, reviews, previews, editorial comments and correspondence.
The EJC is the official journal of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) and the European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists (EUSOMA).
