Description

Current Research in Physiology (CRPHYS) is a new primary research, gold open access journal from Elsevier. CRPHYS publishes original papers and short communications that cover all aspects of all areas of basic and translational physiology and associated disciplines.

Current Research in Physiology is a peer-reviewed gold open access (OA) journal and upon acceptance all articles are permanently and freely available. It is a companion to the, now already, highly regarded review journal Current Opinion in Physiology and is part of the Current Opinion and Research (CO+RE) suite of journals . All CO+RE journals leverage the Current Opinion legacy of editorial excellence, high-impact, and global reach to ensure they are a widely read resource that is integral to scientists workflow.

Current Research in Physiology topics covered include: Cellular/Molecular, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Gastro-Intestinal, Renal, Neurophysiology, Exercise physiology, Smooth Muscle and Cell Motility, Metabolism, Endocrine, Reproductive, Nutritional, Environmental, Comparative, Control systems (including neural), Development and Ageing, Pathophysiology, Clinical physiology, Modelling and Applied AI.

Current Research in Physiology will seek expert peer reviewers and ask them to focus on the science in the paper, and not suggest additional experimentation unless essential for the ultimate acceptance of a paper.

Current Research in Physiology builds on Elsevier's reputation for excellence in scientific publishing.
