Aspects of Molecular Medicine

Aspects of Molecular Medicine is a gold open access journal with the goal of rapidly publishing new research articles and short reviews on the molecular and cellular basis of disease. Using tools from biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology, the articles are intended to describe the mechanistic background of disease and make it understandable at the clinical level. The purpose of Aspects of Molecular Medicine is to provide a clinical foundation for basic scientists and a rationalization of disease for the clinician.

By publishing recent cutting-edge research, Aspects of Molecular Medicine is complementary to its sister journal, Molecular Aspects of Medicine, which publishes only lengthy review articles on established aspects of molecular medicine.
