Marco Zeppieri
Dr. Marco Zeppieri was born in Ontario, Canada and currently lives in Udine, Italy. He graduated with a Degree in Biology from the University of Toronto, Canada. He completed his Degree in Medicine, Specialization in Ophthalmology, Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral in Glaucoma. He acquired his University Professor (2nd level) National (MIUR) Qualifications in 2018. He is a contact professor at the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Health Sciences at the University of Trieste. Since January 2008 to date, he has worked as an Ophthalmologist at the Department of Ophthalmology at the University Hospital in Udine, Italy. His scientific interests include new techniques for the morphological and functional diagnosis of ocular hypertension and glaucoma, the use of stem cells for corneal wound lesions, ocular surface and lid diagnostics and treatments and community based screening procedures. He has participated as invited speaker at numerous national and international ophthalmology conferences. He is a Reviewer for numerous international peer reviewed journals.

Prof. Caterina Gagliano is a distinguished ophthalmologist, full professor, and researcher specializing in ophthalmology. She serves as a faculty member at the Department of Medicine and Surgery, University of Enna "Kore", where she contributes extensively to both teaching and research. With a strong background in ophthalmological, immunological, rheumatological and neurodegenerative disorders, her work bridges clinical practice and academic inquiry. Prof. Gagliano is also affiliated with the Mediterranean Foundation “G.B. Morgagni” in Catania, an institution known for advancing biomedical research in the Mediterranean region. Her prolific publication record, involvement in international conferences, and leadership in collaborative studies reflect her commitment to improving healthcare outcomes and medical education.
