Miron Sopić
Miron Sopić, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Medical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. He teaches biochemistry with a strong emphasis on its diagnostic applications, grounded in his scientific expertise. His research centers on inflammation in cardiometabolic diseases, particularly the discovery of RNA-based biomarkers. Dr. Sopić is the author of more than 54 scientific publications and was awarded the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2022. This fellowship enabled his collaboration with Dr. Yvan Devaux at the Luxembourg Institute of Health, where they are exploring epitranscriptomic signatures in atherosclerosis—pushing the boundaries of cardiovascular molecular medicine.
