Dr. Mak is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong. She is a hepatologist and clinical researcher focusing on hepatitis B and steatotic liver disease. She has published >150 articles in reputable journals (Google scholar H-index 34). She is an associate editor for Clinical Molecular Hepatology and editorial board member for Hepatology Communications. She has received the Emerging Leader Award by EASL in 2023 and is a member of the Emerging Leaders Committee, Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology.

Professor Yuen is the Chair Professor of The University of Hong Kong. He is one of the top internationally renowned researchers in the field of hepatitis B disease (Google scholar H-index 115). As a world-class clinician scientist, Professor Yuen is now leading most of the international trials examining new drugs including antiviral and immunomodulatory agents for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B.
