Therapeutic Applications of Nitric Oxide in Cancer and Inflammatory Diseases: Third International Conference on Therapeutic Application of Nitric Oxide in Cancer and Inflammatory Disorders presents updated information on the chemistry, signaling of newly derived therapeutic nitric oxide donors/inhibitors, and their complexes in liposomes or nanospheres in both pre-clinical and clinical activities.
In six parts It discusses many examples of research related to the application of novel therapeutic compounds that focus on a chemical, nitric oxide, and their applications that have been shown to exert significant therapeutic activities against various resistant cancers unresponsive to current treatments, and different inflammatory diseases which continue to require novel treatments.
It is a valuable resource for cancer researchers, oncologists, graduate students, and researchers from medical and biomedical fields who want to know more about NO and its therapeutic applications in cancer and inflammatory diseases. It is highly useful for both scientists and clinicians as well as pharmaceutical companies involved in the development of new anticancer/anti-inflammatory agents.

After his degree in chemistry at the University of Trieste (1976), Dr. Xodo worked at the University of Reading (UK) (1979) and at the University of Guildford (UK) (1980). In 1983 he was appointed “Researcher” at the University of Trieste and in 1992 he became Associate Professor in Biochemistry at the Faculty of Science. In 1997 he moved to the University of Udine where he is full professor in biochemistry at the School of Medicine of Udine, since 2004. Luigi Xodo is the head of a research group at the Department of Medical and Biological Science. At present the activity of the group is carried out in a context of international collaborations: Prof. G. van der Marel (Leiden, NL), Prof E. Pedersen (Odense, DK), Prof. Nathan Luedtke (Zurich, CH). Dr. Xodo LX is the author of 120 publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
