S. Wazed Ali
Dr. S. Wazed Ali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. After obtaining his Master and Ph.D. degree from IIT Delhi in 2006 and 2011, respectively he joined GE (General Electric) India Technology Centre Pvt. Ltd. (JFWTC), Bangalore as a ‘Research Scientist’. Subsequently he moved to SABIC Research and Technology Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore and worked as a ‘Scientist’ before joining IIT Delhi in 2014. His current research areas broadly include nanoparticle synthesis and application in textiles for value added products, green chemistry in textile finishing, fibrous structure for piezoelectric energy harvesting, etc. He has published numerous research articles in various international peer reviewed journals. At present, he is deeply involved in pursuing interdisciplinary research supported by public funding agencies, Govt. of India and various industries.

Satyaranjan Bairagi
Satyaranjan Bairagi is a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Prior to this, he worked as a Research Associate under a project funded by EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council), at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. He completed his Ph.D. in Material Science (Smart Textiles) from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), India, in 2021. He has received “Distinction in Doctoral Thesis” award for the best PhD thesis. His area of research interest includes functional textiles, engineered materials for energy harvesting, polymers, smart textiles, nanocomposites, surface engineering, triboelectric and piezoelectric nanogenerators, fabrication and characterization of functional materials: nanofibres and metal oxides. He has published several research articles in the research fields mentioned above.
