Technology-Based Training provides information pertinent to the importance and influence of technology in the field of training. This book emphasizes the commercial and industrial setting at the expense of public and state-provided educational system. Organized into two parts encompassing eight chapters, this book begins with an overview of off-the-shelf courseware and looks at the relationship between industry and its marketplace. This text then discusses the major advances in technology-based training and provides a balanced analysis of the development in technology-based training. Other chapters consider that the best way to assess the potential of computer-based training is to develop some courses, utilize them in the field, and evaluate their effectiveness. This book discusses as well the project management aspects of running a courseware development program. The final chapter deals with the surface activity in the dissemination of information regarding what to use, how to use it, and what to use it for.
