Ravinder Pal Singh

Dr. Ravinder Pal Singh is a Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India, with over two decades of academic and research experience. He earned his PhD from PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh, with a specialization in materials science and engineering. Dr. Singh’s research focuses on multifunctional nanomaterials, surface engineering, and friction stir processing- areas that directly underpin the advancement of sustainable welding technologies and green manufacturing.

He has authored six books and more than 39 international journal articles, along with several influential book chapters, reflecting his significant contributions to the field. Dr. Singh holds six patents and has successfully guided multiple PhD and M.Tech scholars, demonstrating both innovation and mentorship in advanced manufacturing. His expertise is further recognized by the numerous national and international distinctions.

Dr. Singh is an active member of leading professional societies, including the International Association of Engineers and the Indian Society for Technical Education. He is frequently invited to deliver expert talks on advanced characterization techniques and surface engineering, underscoring his leadership in topics central to sustainable welding and environmental innovation. His extensive academic, research, and practical experience make him a vital contributor to this proposed volume on sustainable welding technologies.

Murali Mohan Cheepu

Dr. Murali Mohan Cheepu is a research manager in welding processes and wire arc additive manufacturing developments at Vitzronextech Co., Ltd welding research institute, South Korea. Before coming to Vitzronextech, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher in welding and joining laboratory at Pukyong National University, South Korea. Murali holds a Ph.D. in manufacturing from the Kyungsung University, South Korea, and M.Tech in welding engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli. Murali also holds a B.E. from the Andhra University in Mechanical and production engineering.
