Structuré par spécialités médicales, rédigée chacune par des médecins et des infirmières spécialisés, ce volume 1 donne tout d'abord : - une vision intégrée des soins particuliers à dispenser aux patients ; - des rappels anatomiques et physiologiques en lien avec les défaillances organiques et dégénératives de chaque appareil ainsi que la présentation des principaux symptômes liés à ces pathologies et leurs explorations. Puis, il aborde les pathologies suivantes : - en cardiologie : insuffisance cardiaque, valvulopathies, troubles du rythme et de la conduction, hypertension artérielle, pathologie de l'aorte et des artères périphériques ; - en pneumologie : insuffisance respiratoire aiguë et handicap et insuffisances respiratoires chroniques ; - en uronéphrologie : insuffisance rénale aiguë et chronique, néphropathies glomérulaires primitives et secondaires et sténose de l'artère rénale ; - en rhumatologie : arthroses, déminéralisations, rhumatismes inflammatoires ; - en dermatologie: brûlures, ulcères, escarres, eczémas et psoriasis. Toutes ces thématiques sont illustrées par de nombreux schémas et photographies en couleurs. Chaque pathologie est éclairée par des encadrés « Points clés », qui mettent en avant les notions fondamentales liées à la pathologie traitée, des fiches « Acte et/ou surveillance infirmiersSituation intégrative » qui mettent en évidence la conduite à tenir de l'infirmière auprès du patient. En fin d'ouvrage, un cahier d'entraînement permet à l'étudiant de tester ses connaissances et de s'entraîner à l'analyse des situations.
