Description

Stem Cell Toxicology: Principles, Models, and Applications is the first comprehensive and practical academic book to systematically present cutting-edge progress of stem cell technologies for toxicological research and applications. This book addresses the current paradigm shift in toxicology by exploring the application value of stem cell models in assessing risks associated with complex exposures, including environmental pollutants, drugs, and food additives. It offers a complete theoretical framework and technical toolkit for professionals engaged in toxicology, stem cell biology, drug safety assessment, and environmental health research.

Key features

  • Provides a standardized reference framework integrating theory, models, and applied research in stem cell toxicology
  • Spans multiple interdisciplinary fields, including toxicology, stem cell biology, developmental biology, environmental science, and pharmaceutical sciences
  • Addressing real-world needs such as pollutant exposure, drug screening, and alternative toxicity testing, the book offers numerous reproducible and scalable models and practical case studies for experimental design
  • Includes “beyond laboratory” techniques, such as ethical standards, regulatory frameworks, and policy considerations
