Dr. Qian received her bachelor’s degree in public health, a Master’s in pathology, and her PhD in cell biology. Her areas of focus are biomechanics, mechanobiology, bone metabolism diseases, space biology, space biotechnology, and nuclear acid drugs research; and she has published more than 200 publications and invented more than 30 patents. Dr. Qian is the Associate Editor of Frontiers in Physiology, an Editorial Board Member of Endocrine, Metabolic & Immune Disorders - Drug Targets, Guest Editor of Seminars in Cell and Developmental Biology, and Guest Editor of Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology. She was awarded “New Century Outstanding Talents of the Ministry of Education”, “The 9th Shaanxi Youth Science and Technology Award”, “The 2nd Xi'an Young Science and Technology Talent Award”, and “Elsevier 2021 Most Cited Chinese Researchers”.

Dr. Lin received her bachelor’s degree in bioengineering and her PhD in biology. Main research areas: Mechanobiology, bone metabolic diseases, space biology research. Published more than 30 papers in journals such as Genes & Diseases, International Journal of Biological Sciences, Biomaterials, Theranostics, Journal of Bone and Bone, and have 4 invention patents. She is on the Young editorial board of Biomedical Engineering Communications, Guest Associate Editor of the Journal Frontiers in Endocrinology, Review Editor of Frontiers in Physiology Journal.

Dr. Suryaji Patil was born in India. He obtained his master’s degree in 2016 in biotechnology. Since 2018 he is pursuing a doctoral degree in biomedical engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China in Bone Metabolism Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Qian Airong. He has working knowledge of molecular biology, cell and tissue biology, biomaterial chemistry and is currently working on developing new nanocarriers for nucleic acid therapy to improve the specificity and lower the side effects of current bone treatments.
