He has over 15 years of research expertise in developing various nanostructured materials for applications in supercapacitors, nanogenerators, self-powered systems, 3D printing, thin films, corrosion protection, and bio-implants. He has over 100 research publications in peer-reviewed journals, >25 book chapters and edited 1 book with renowned international publishers. Also, he has received various awards (>15), prestigious fellowships (Humboldt Post-Doctoral Fellowship), and a Top 2% Scientist. In addition, he has completed and ongoing various sponsored projects in the respective areas.

Kalim Deshmukh is a senior researcher at the New Technologies-Research Centre, University of West Bohemia, Pilsen, Czech Republic. He has over 20 years of research experience working with a wide variety of polymers and nanomaterials, including metal oxide nanoparticles and two-dimensional (2D) materials like graphene and MXenes. His research interest is mainly focused on the synthesis, characterization, and investigations of the structure–property relationship of polymer nanocomposites and nanohybrids reinforced with different nanofillers, including various metal oxides, carbon allotropes, and novel 2D materials for energy storage and conversion, energy harvesting, electromagnetic interference shielding, gas sensing, and biomedical applications.
