Richard P. Pohanish
Richard Pohanish spent his entire working career in publishing. In 1963 he joined the D.Van Nostrand Company of Princeton NJ (DVN) and held various positions including, at DVN, Advertising Manager and Sales Director. After the merger with Reinhold Publishing Company [1968, forming Van Nostrand Reinhold (VNR)] he held the positions of Vice President, Marketing; Vice President/Publisher (Editorial Director); Executive Vice President; President, Information Division; and Member of the Board of Directors. He was also Publisher and Executive Editor of the professional journal, Dangerous Properties of Industrial Report from 1984 to 1990. Since retiring from VNR, he has worked as a technical editor and author on a range of professional books and references, published by McGraw-Hill, Wiley, Industrial Press and William Andrew.
