Dr. Eduardo Manuel González Ferreiro is a forestry engineer and associate professor at the University of León, Spain. Throughout his scientific career has focused on the applications of active and passive remote sensing for forest inventory, risk estimation and monitoring of natural areas. He has carried out research stays in several prestigious research centers and universities around the world (UK Forestry Commission, University of Sevilla, Georg-August-Universität, and Oregon State University). He is widely published with over 80 co-authors from 20 research institutions, 4 registrations of software, and over 30 presentations at conferences and scientific congress. In 2023, he received the I3 certificate from the Spanish Research Agency, which accredits an outstanding scientific career.
