Pre-tests of several multiple-choice questions formatted like those found on the NBRC TM-CE (Therapist Multiple-Choice Exam) begin each chapter, allowing the student to determine a base of knowledge and content areas of strength and weakness before studying the chapter. Recall, Application and Analysis-type questions for the pre-tests are included.

Open-ended study questions end each chapter to reinforce information and help the student to retain the material. As with the Pre-test questions, additional analysis-style questions are included.

A Practice Exam reflecting the new TM-CE will be included at the back of the book with the answer key and rationales on Evolve, giving students even more opportunity to practice in the NBRC exam format.

Practice Exams on Evolve will be available in both study (untimed) and exam (timed) modes to provide an additional opportunity to practice and experience the actual NBRC testing environment in a computerized format. Featured on a secured Evolve site with the same scoring breakdown proposed by the NBRC, the Practice Exam allows students to test themselves after they have reviewed content and gives them an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the computerized exam format. There will be three TM-CE of 160 questions with automatic scoring to delineate the two levels – entry and advanced.
