Member of the China Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Coloproctology Committee and Council Member of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine's Proctology Branch. Has led four National Natural Science Foundation projects and published over 100 academic papers

He is a Research Fellow at the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center and Colorectal Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States. Section editor of the Mesentery and Peritoneum journal and editorial board member of the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition journal. Has led three National Natural Science Foundation projects and published over 70 papers in journals
