Jay Danto
Current Chair of the Osteopathic Principles and Practices (OPP) Department at Noorda-COM, Noorda-COM is the third COM at which Dr. Danto has served as an OPP Department Chair. He is dually boarded in Family Practice/OMM and Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.
From 2012-2016 he served in the OMM Department at the founding University of the Osteopathic profession, A.T. Still University, also as residency program Director at the Northeast Regional Medical Center (NRMC) for two combined residency programs (the Family Medicine/ONMM residency and the Internal Medicine/ONMM residency). In 2016, Dr. Danto was honored by the NRMC for his dedication to postgraduate education.
Dr. Danto has presented on osteopathic medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment both nationally and internationally. He has written and reviewed MCQs for all levels of the COMLEX board examination and was an evaluator for the Level 2 practical examination. Dr. Danto completed two teaching fellowship certificate programs at MSU-COM and a research certificate fellowship program at ATSU. As an osteopathic student, Dr. Danto was awarded the SOMA Silver Scholarship for Outstanding Dedication to the Osteopathic Profession. For the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, Dr. Danto serves as a peer reviewer and had served on the Associate Editorial Board. He has authored numerous articles, books, and presentations.
