Request a sales quoteThe aim of this volume is to present the state-of-the-art in experimental and theoretical investigation of oscillating heterogeneous catalytic systems after over 20 years of intense research in the field. The authors demonstrate how the application of modern experimental techniques and the analysis and modelling of self-sustained oscillations and spatial patterns have provided and will continue to provide new and deep insights into the mechanisms of heterogeneous catalytic reactions. The book will acquaint the reader with mathematical concepts, methods and tools needed for the analysis and the interpretation of the observed complex phenomena which in turn have much in common with dynamical systems studied in related fields such as technology, physics and biology.
