About the editors

Konstantinos P. Letsas

Konstantinos Letsas MD, PhD, FESC, FEHRA received his medical degree in 1997, finishing his doctoral thesis at the Medical University of Ioannina in 2003. He completed his residency in Cardiology at Evangelismos General Hospital of Athens (where he later served as a consultant cardiologist/electrophysiologist). He pursued an advanced fellowship training program with the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) in Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Herzzentrum, Bad Krozingen (Germany). He is accredited by the EHRA in Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology. Currently, he is Deputy Director of the Arrhythmia Unit at Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, where he focuses on catheter ablation of complex arrhythmias (specifically, catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and sudden cardiac death in the young). Dr. Letsas is a member of the EHRA Certification Committee for Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology, the president-elect of the Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology group of the Hellenic Society of Cardiology, and has published over 270 peer-reviewed articles.

Ourania Kariki

Dr. Ourania Kariki graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2016 and completed her cardiology training, followed by a two-year fellowship in Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology at Onassis Hospital in Athens. She currently serves as a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist at Onassis Hospital. Dr. Kariki holds a Master’s degree and is a PhD candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School. In 2025, she obtained full EHRA certification in Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology. Her primary clinical and research interests include the diagnostics of supraventricular tachycardias and the application of novel technologies in catheter ablation of arrhythmias.
