Zhe Liu

Dr. Zhe Liu is the Vice-Dean of Department of Medical Sciences and Engineering; Director of Division of Intelligent Biomaterials, and Professor of the Academy of Medical Engineering and Translational Medicine, Medical College, Tianjin University, China. He acquired his PhD from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007, and then joined the Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford (MIPS, Stanford University, USA) and Helmholtz Institute of Biomedical Engineering (RWTH Aachen, Germany) as a postdoctoral scholar. His current research interests include the development of intelligent biomaterials for drug delivery, visualized medicine and cutting-edge disease treatment strategies.

Dr. Liu has published more than 50 research articles as an independent corresponding/first author, and has published 5 scientific books worldwide. Dr. Liu is the Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and the Fellow of Royal Society of Medicine (FRSM), and holds the (senior) membership of Radiology Society of North America (RSNA), American Society of Chemistry (ACS), Chinese Chemical Society (CCS), Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA) and Chinese Association of Ultrasound in Medicine and Engineering (CAUME).
