Nathalie Pettorelli
Prof Nathalie Pettorelli is a conservation biologist at the Institute of Zoology, Zoological Society of London and an honorary professor at University College London. Her expertise covers biodiversity science, climate change ecology, and environmental monitoring, leading interdisciplinary research focused on mitigating climate change impacts on biodiversity, advancing global biodiversity monitoring, and supporting coexistence between wildlife and people. She serves on the Biodiversity Expert Committee of the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Science and Technology Advisory Council of the UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). She is also a member of the UK Government’s Climate Security Taskforce. Her work bridges research, policy, and practice, with a focus on addressing biodiversity loss and climate change through integrated approaches.
