Integrates pathophysiology, clinical gynecology and translational science with precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, microbiome research, artificial intelligence and digital health
Gynecological Disorders: From Pathophysiology to Translational and Precision Medicine provides a multidisciplinary synthesis of major gynecological disorders and the scientific and technological advances transforming their diagnosis, management and prevention. Covering endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, uterine fibroids, menstrual disorders and gynecological cancers, the book connects disease mechanisms and clinical challenges with emerging approaches in molecular biomarkers, liquid biopsy, microbiome science, artificial intelligence, digital health, regenerative medicine and nanomedicine.
Dedicated sections examine reproductive tract infections, HPV-associated carcinogenesis, antimicrobial resistance, environmental endocrine disruptors, mental health and the sociocultural determinants of gynecological health.
The volume also addresses clinical readiness, validation, health disparities, implementation science and health policy, distinguishing emerging scientific promise from real-world applicability.
Written for clinicians, researchers, trainees and public health professionals, the book integrates molecular, clinical, technological and population-health perspectives to provide a translational framework for understanding the evolving landscape of gynecological disorders and advancing equitable precision care.

About the editors
Atar Singh Kushwah
Editor
Dr. Atar Singh Kushwah is a molecular geneticist and translational oncologist whose work links genetics, epigenetics, and molecular oncology to women’s health and cancer outcomes. He earned a Ph.D. in Molecular and Human Genetics from Banaras Hindu University (in collaboration with the University of Lucknow), studying genetic and epigenetic changes in DNA repair and their impact on cervical cancer therapy. He conducted postdoctoral research at the Center for NanoBiotechnology Research, Alabama State University, and the Women’s Biomedical Research Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, exploring how host genetics, metabolism, and tumor microenvironment signaling drive cancer progression and therapy resistance. Now an Assistant Professor at Manipal University Jaipur, his lab investigates the Microbiome–Epigenome–DNA Repair Axis as a determinant of gynecological disease susceptibility and treatment outcomes, including AI-driven diagnostics and CRISPR-based therapies. He has 30+ publications and serves on several editorial boards.
