Buchun Si
Buchun Si is now a tenured Associate Professor in Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the China Agricultural University. His research interests span a broad range of topics in the field of agricultural waste treatment, sustainable energy and chemical technologies. He currently studies the integration of systems for the next generation of waste-to-energy conversion technology (including anaerobic fermentation for hydrogen and methane production, design and development of technologies and equipment for wastewater treatment and hydrothermal liquefaction and gasification for biofuels production). He has authored or co-authored 73 technical papers in international peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Nat. Sustain., Prog. Energ. Combust., Green Chem., Water Res., Environ. Sci. Technol., Renew. Sustain. Energy Rev. etc.). His researches have been cited over 3000 times. He is also the author of 3 books concerning bioenergy, hydrothermal liquefaction and agricultural waste treatment. He currently serves as the Associate Editor of the Front. Microbiol. and the (Guest) Editorial Members of the J Renew. Mater.
