Karthikeyan Ramalingam
Karthikeyan Ramalingam is a highly accomplished academic and researcher with over 23 years of teaching experience. He currently serves as a Professor at B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, India, and also holds the positions of Dean of Student Affairs and Chief Proctor (Discipline) at the institute. He is also the CEO and Founder of Nano I Technology, a startup company that focuses on nanoemulsion and nanoparticle-based antimicrobial agents for ESKAPE pathogens, biofilm inhibitors, and bioactive venoms compound from marine sources. He has a PhD in Marine Biology from Annamalai University, India, and has held several postdoctoral positions as a Research Scientist at prestigious institutions such as the Naval Medical Research Unit-San Antonio, the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, USA and New York University (NYU), USA. Dr. Ramalingam's research expertise includes microbiology, ESKAPE pathogens, infectious diseases, and nanotechnology, with a focus on developing novel therapies for drug-resistant pathogens. He has published over 50+ research articles, and eight funded projects, and holds three patents. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society for Microbiology, the New York Academy of Sciences, and the Association of Microbiologists of India.
